I purchased a lap top battery on January 25, 2013 and brought it to my 's home. It sat on the table, unopened for three (3) days. We then placed it in the copmuter and charged it fully. After being charged, we ran the lap top and the battery died after 2 1/2 hrs. Again we charged it, with the same results!.
I then returned back to " Plus" on February 01, 2013 to return it for a refund on my credit card". Everything was explained to the a female employee behind the counter and she then stated gthat their is broken and there is no way that they can test the battery!. But if I'd like to check the battery for testing, I would have to drive to the Denver location for testing!. I then restated that I was visiting from Ohio and that I'm NOT going to drive all around to prove that the lap top battery is defective'.
She then contacted her store manager, "Paul" and explained the whole situation to him and that I was leaving tomorrow (February 02, 2013) to go back home to Ohio?. She spoke for a while and hung up!. She then told me that their return policy is five (5) days and that they, "Batteries Plus", cannot refund my credit catd, but they would be willing to give me a replacement for my 's lap top battery". I then asked what would happen if the replacement battery preformed just as poorly as the original one that I purchased, how would I be able to have that one returned and my credit card refunded, since I wouldn't be in Aurora, let alone the state of Colorado. She had no answer.
She then gave me "Paul's" telephone number to call and speak with him, since she just spoke to him and hopefully he would give the okay for a credit card refund. I called the number that was given to me (303-932-6247) and it was answered by a female. I asked if I may speak with "Paul) and she asked who I was and why I was calling. I stated that I was given the number from an employee at the Abilene store, who had just spoken to "Paul", and that I should speak with him regarding my issue. This female stated that "Paul" wasn't there and that she would "shoot him an e-mail" and he would call me when he can. She then asked for my telephone number and said that "Paul" would call me when he's available. I then asked if she would like my name, and she said that it wasn't needed. But I told her it was Frank. I then disconnected with her.
"Batteries Plus" is a poorly run business!! Horrible customer service regarding the return policy and rude behavior at the main phone number. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company for reimbursement. I warn future buyers beware of "Batteries Plus", the company is not customer friendly on returns, only when you purchase items. 31298f3

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We have reached out to this store and have discussed your situation directly with Paul and the owner of this location. The store is willing to work with you on the exception to the 5-day return policy provided that they can properly test the battery and verify that it is indeed defective.

Laptop batteries will not reach full capacity until approximately 5-10 full charge/discharge cycles. There is a bit of a break in period on any type of lithium ion battery. The first few times you use it, it will only be at about 60% of its rated capacity. I'm a battery engineer and work with these kinds of batteries 6 days a week.

Unless it is an extended battery most laptop batteries last 1.5-3.5 hours depending on what you are doing on the laptop.
