Banfield has vet Techs and Vet assistants pulling blood and "attempting" to draw blood and place cath's. that have no proper schooling or training to do so. I know this because I work as a CSC, and I am required to"hold" these sweet animals while unqualified persons torment them in an attempt to prepare them for surgery, that is done as if they are a doughnut at in factory. My dog, that I signed...
My dog became diabetic, the missed her pancreatitis, last May. In November my dogs glucose was still unregulated and I took her in twice complaining something else had to be wrong they basically told me that my 7 year old dog was having pain due to arthritis. I didn't believe it and took her to an emergency vet. 2,000 dollars later the emergency vet informs me she performed a snap test which...
I had a horrible experience with this hospital, after a recent car accident when their own machine failed to take a temporary debit card after i was told it would. i lost my wallet with all of my id's and credit/ debit cards ect. I suffer from a traumatic brain injury so after this tragic event my mind went blank this is how i lost my walletI was told they would keep my acct open and they...
Banfield sold me a 12-month ($24.95/month) wellness program (plan) for my puppy dog. The plan supposedly included all visits to the vet relating to its planned vaccines and neutering. The plan discounts the costs of unplanned care—basically a health plan. I became dissatisfied with the plan during an emergency. I first took my dog to Banfield hoping to take advantage of the plan. Before...
I took my put to Banfield Pet Hospital because she has Demodex Mange. This is condition that all dogs’ carry contracted for mother with in a few days after birth. Demodex Mange can flare up from stress, which is the case for my little pup. I took my put to Banfield Pet Hospital because it was connected to PetSmart and thought they must be good. WELL LET ME TELL YOU!!!! All they cared about is...
We take our dog in for a area on his lower jaw that is raw. We have the wellness plan but that does not cover any of the test that was needed. The people are rude and act like you are wrong when you ask prices. They tell us they will let us know the results of the test in 10 days. We get no call so we drop by and they say the test is still pending. Days later still no call. I call and...
BANFIELD PET HOSPITAL FIRST EXPOSURE April 30, 2013 we brought Sammy in for an ear infection/initial examination by Dr. Jennifer Pallozzi, DVM/CHIEF OF STAFF. We thought she was professional, and she appeared to be quite knowledgeable, at least to this layman. An associate presented (in high pressure fashion) heavy attention to our dog’s health care and the expense we would save if we accepted a...
Banfield Pet Hospital diagnosed my pet with a Mast Cell Tumor in February 2013. I was told that it would be nearly $800 to remove the "mass" and I was instructed to give my dog 1/2 a Benadryl x2 daily. I was fooled into purchasing their "Wellness Plan" because this would help "save money" - although I soon learned that their prices were so inflated that even with a "discount", it was still way...
1st. If you sign the wellness plan, you're hooked. Even if your pet dies, you're paying either the full price of the services received pre-death or the rest of the contract. Period. Also note the wellness plans only cover the services identified. If you have a plan that covers a dental, and they decide a tooth should get pulled, they'll try to get you to pay for the pull. Which brings up point #2...
I wished I had read the previous complaint about Banfield Pet Hospital Teeth Cleaning before I took my two labs for the same service. I dropped off my two lab rescues (90lb big ones) off at Banfield Pet Hospital Monday at 8:00am to have their teeth cleaned as a promotion they were running. They called customers to let them know about the special. And as instructed, I didn't feed them past 8pm...
