$17100
This makes the fourth time ATT installers have had us wait around from 8AM to 5PM for an installer that never called and never showed. My wife and I hung out for an entire day missing $45/hour, and $430/hour wages, depending on the word of some telephone jockey to have actually communicated the appointment to someone else that would have actually arrived with 3 months - 2 years (at best) of technical education, to perform the install!. At 9 hours, that's $4,275 they owe me for our time, and a total of $17,100 for four occurrences, totalled/. Here's the short version:
They blew off two prior install dates, without any reason, for two unrelated, separate fixes.. Enough said". An appointment for an installer was called to discontinue DSL and upgrade our internet (which the "technician" actually showed for):. However, he disconnected the router and three ethernet cables to that router (which of course disconnected the devices permanently) without even asking about what they went to|. He set the phone on a U-verse wireless network, and also disconnected my wired security system in the process'. This "upgrade" removed home security; network TV; print server; and added and unacceptable static noise in the phone, that has made te phone useless, so we have been using our cells, while still paying their bills for basically worse everything!
We called to make another appointment to fix all these issues (which was a no-show)". I also should have mentioned that they shut off our internet services on the DSL one week prior to the "upgrade" install, which we specifically told them to make sure they did not do...and they did it anyway.
When you call this company, of course you get some person located in Haiti; Honduras; Columbia or a variety of other third-world countries. But you can totally trust giving them your full-name; date of birth; and social security number (which is EXACTLY what they ask you for to set up accounts!). Yeah, don't worry about giving this sensitive information to people in foreign countries who can't be easily tracked down, or prosecuted. Sure. Great planning AT&T, brilliant.
This by far, has been the most incompetent company to deal with to date. Talking to their foreign telecommunication reps is akin to talking to your aquarium fish (at best); and their performance for customer service/care is a -10 on a 0-10 scale. They are careless, bungling fools. Look for may future posts detailing names of company owners, board members and employees with their home phone numbers and addresses. 3891a41
