American Home Shield has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! I was hung up on by an extremely rude guy named "RON" who said he was in the middle of no where and refused to transfer me to his manager, provide a contact number or even give me his mgrs name. AHS is a SCAM, my 20 year old furnace's motor went out in the dead of winter and as a single parent myself...
Called AHS for A/C not working in rental unit. They sent several different service companies over a period of 10 days in which time renter had to move out and did not pay rent. Temperature 110 degrees and more. One service contact made a move on resident. On my phone call to AHS, rep stated "I was in Phoenix once and it's a dry heat; I don't know what your problem is." I asked "How old are...
My A/C went out this week, and American Home Shield authorized replacing the coils. The contractor had no interest in replacing the coils and instead wanted to sell me a whole new system $7900. When I refused his sales pitch, he wrote me an estimate for $1,383 in non-covered repairs. $600 for freon! If you don't know, AHS only pays $10 per pound for refrigerant, and they don't tell you how...
Not sure why all the complaints here? I get about 10-20 UNSOLICITED SPAM emails from this place in my inbox every week. Like purchasing merchandise from an unsolicited telemarketer and giving them my financial information, I don't fall for (nor read) garbage in my inbox. I am truly sorry folks have been scammed/conned or received horrific service from this outfit. A red flag, to me at least,...
I bought a house that already had a warranty through AHS. This has got to be THE worst company Ive ever had the displeasure of working with. The customer service reps and supervisors outright lie just to get you off the phone. I had them come out to repair/replace a furnace and water heater. I ended up paying about a grande due to BS costs they dont cover and their loophole policy regarding code...
we called american homeshield to check it out, they sent a plumber out and he said the problem was the knob was broken and it was from wear and tear from us using the machine (but it is not required to turn the knob on and off when using the machine). my husband did what any normal person would do he check to see what was happening and they called it misue. they then sent someone out for the...
After having had my dryer repaired once (that took 2 weeks, $75 check & 2 afternoons off work), the problem reoccurred. It took 2 weeks & another afternoon of work to get someone out to look at the dryer, he tightened 3 screws, charged me $75, & left. Excited, I threw towels in the dryer & the noise was awful. Now its 9PM on a Friday night I have a dryer full of wet towels, a...
ahs is a joke!!!! we are supposed to have a 48hr window for a service tech to fulfill an appt. request was sent in and the earliest appt available was 72hrs out for a 2p-6p visit. we get a call from the contractor at 645p that he is rescheduling for first thing in the morning. according to ahs, they take no responsibility. all they have to say is "we are sorry for the inconvenience". bye bye ahs...
Last winter I had a hot water line break in the island of my kitchen. I called AHS and first they told me a week before they could come out. Then when I complained, they had someone out in a couple of days. First strike!!! So, the company comes out and the guys tells me that he doesn't see the leak under the cabinet, but that I would probably have to remove the island, bust up the tile in the...
Have now been on hold for over three and one half hours, but My call is important to us, please stay on the the line and the next available representative will assist me. Guess my call isn't that important or they are all at lunch. Either way very poor customer service. Won't use on-line, tried that and they send a contractors who are not licensed to work in/on manufactured homes. oh, wait,...
