First off. I worked for Menards for 6 1/2 years. I trained the GM in the front office. when he was an intern at the registers. When he became a GM in the front of office. Menards Managers treat their employees like crap. I had my manager tell me to my face that I was Fat. Telling me that I need to stop eating. He would also make remarks "Oh there she is eating again." when I am diabetic so of course I am gonna have to eat something to make my blood sugar to be normal and not pass out at Menards. I asked the same Manager 3 years every other day to be trained up at Customer Service..did not happen. He put a new employee who was 2 months pregnant up at CS.  
I also had spoken with the Store Manager. the way he had been treating me. We had a meeting. Nothing stopped. It continued to esculate. I litterally pulled my self out of the front office and went back to Wallcoverings cuase the GM of Wallcoverings knew what was happening and said if i wanted to come back I could. So I did with out telling the Store Manager and Human Resources. 2 weeks later I came forward told them what was going on. they let me stay in Wallcoverings...I was than told that I could have the full time position...when 1 assistent manager left and 2 full time employees left. Than Menards highered 2 full time employees with Out exsperience. Than I put in a request to be an assistent manager. No meeting what so ever and decided to give it to one of the New Hires. Now You tell me if that is wrong or not.  
 
At Menards I received 10 Guest Service Awards. My first week in the Wall coverings department I received 3 out of the 10. When I put in my actual 3 week notice to tell Menards I was leaving. Then did not fire me, becuase they knew I could back at them for the way they treated and the way I was harassed.  
 
When I left 15 people and out of those 15. 3 of them were Assistant Managers in 2 of them in one department and 1 in another All 15 of them said they are leaving because of the way they treated me.  
 
The store I worked at No One now lasts longer than 3 months. There is a manager that I know who tells me. that He would NOT recommend anyone to work for Menards longer than 3 months. What some also have to understand They also treat there Department Managers like Crap too not just the employees. that is why 3 assistant managers left. 
 
The people and managers that I still know that are still working there and so do some of my friends. They continue to ask me to come back to work for Menards but I will never work for the company again. Now you really want to know how bad it is at Menards When the Human Resource Guy sees that after 2 weeks that I have been gone. He got up and left with out giving a 2 week notice.  
 
Menards dont listen to the employees. they never will
