I also won an item on eBay, but was informed a week later that eBay had cancelled the auction because the item had been put up for bid by someone who wasn't the owner. I expressed my disappointment to eBay, mentioned that it wasn't my problem if the seller allowed friends to access his stuff without his permission, asked for a refund and figured that was the end of it. To my surprise, the item arrived in the post even whilst PayPal and eBay were supposedly investigating my concerns. My credit card was charged but no one at eBay or PayPal ever alerted me to the fact that the item was being shipped. When I received the DVD boxset, I noticed that it had been shipped from Shanghai and it was clear that it was not an original version of the show as advertised by the seller. At least a third of the DVD's won't play on any of my DVD machines (I have three) and neither PayPal nor eBay will tell me what's going on with my claim. eBay just keeps sending me emails that say exactly (and I mean word for word), the same thing over and over again. Even when I pose a different question, they send me the email that they'd sent previously. So guess what? I am now a loyal fan of Amazon and will do everything I can to avoid eBay and PayPal. They are both out to grab as much money as they can. Corporate greed is alive and well with those two companies. Stay away from them! Really!
