2nd experience with Labor Ready, I'll keep it short and sweet.Halfway through the job, police invaded high-end client's home to arrest the worker who was wearing a GPS ankle bracelet. A convicted sex offender, he was not allowed to be in that part of town.
Customer pissed, our reputation blown... thanks Labor Ready!
The workers name was Phillip A Shaw, and this occurred in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was hired to do light labor work for our home furnishings company.
The damage Labor Ready has done will cost more than any savings we could ever achieve using a temp agency.

My job was delayed, I had to explain to my customer and they understood. they tried to use labor ready grand prairie and got the same result. have tried several labor ready on the road not a reliable company. I was told to call Man power. I called man power and got the workers I needed the next day the job was complete after 3 weeks and the job completed ahead of schedule no thanks to Labor Ready. Just lucky my customer understood how unrelieable Labor Ready is. |

| 3. Written by jm, on 09-12-2008 17:08 I work for Labor Ready occassionally for extra income. Especially during holidays an extra 250. can come in handy. I have noticed some drug use but it is certainly a minority of the people. Most workers seem to just need extra cash. |

Written by Anonymous, on 08-10-2008 15:57 Hi i'am about to start workin im 20 years old but its been three days and i still have'nt got a job yet some uneducated people are smart because i know i'am yall dont have to go all postal on the uneducated people and some of you people are not smart and educated so i dont know why yall trynna act like yall better then people who work for labor ready yall act like we don't have families to take care of (smart ***) and no im not trynna be funny bu its nice to know how stubborn and selfish people can really be i just call them haters and haters dont phase me because they gonna talk behind your back but they not gonna say it to your face i do believe in second chances and everybody deserves a second chance see how smart i'am and i did'nt graduate you can't judge people if you dont know them its always two sides to a story not everybody is the same and not on the same level as other people but its wrong how some people judge other people and you dont know them please do me a favor and GROW THE *** UP !!!     |

The people who work at the companies are usually poor, uneducated, in trouble with the law, drunks or druggies looking for their next fix, jailbirds, and more serious offenders. Some are there because they have no other jobs to go to and they need food to feed their families, or some people are working just to make a little spending money or having nothing else to do. The sad thing is that the jobs usually pay minimum wage and some people live in their cars with no money to fix things. |
| 6. Written by steve, on 27-06-2008 22:38 When leaving a responce it's best to leave it as a complaint. Someone is going around and reporting all the responces about Labor Ready so that responces are removed. You don't have to register no one can remove them and your anonymous. |

When I first started working their, I noticed she looked exactly like Britney Spears when she was young. She was very moody and her boyfriend had dumped her. She would always like to make up scary stories about her workers and spread them around. Many of her male workers who had a crush on her, stood up for her honor even though everyone could tell the stories where lies. It made her feel special. She dressed up and looked stunningly pretty. They would make comments about her body and she wouldn’t say anything so it sexualized the atmosphere. Often she had admires who flirted with her and she flirted back in front of everybody when her boss was away. Some say she liked this black guy, others say she liked a Mexican who knows she was always flirting with them both even after she had a new boyfriend. She loved to turn the place into a real life soap bopper for attention.. She eventually had her in crowd that would hang out with them after hours. The rumors got so bad that workers would gather into a group walk up to the counter and lie to her and get her real afraid about other workers. She would spread the lies around. The whole place was always watching Kristi’s drama unfold, the “guys would help her with her conclusions”, they would get her really worked up and scared, she would believe anything. The strange stories got so bad at one time she went into a full out panic attack. It was really sad to watch and hear what sick things they would say to her about others. I just kept quiet. When she had her attack I wanted to tell her all she had to do is be just by allowing the stories to be tested before hearing the lies. I was to afraid. She was to emotionally unstable and took pride in being dishonest. Kristi eventually got anther crazy eyed boyfriend who had “lost” tattooed on him. Half his body was tattooed. I heard he was in prison. He looked like one of those gangsters. He was very large and he always gave everyone the crazy eye both behind the counter and outside as they walked into the office. She changed for the worst. Kristi often flirted with her innocent workers and they would believe she liked them more then her new boyfriend. So that Kristi would look very appealing to her new boyfriend. The office manager would allow that man and his friend who was even larger to intimidate anyone. I watched one clean-cut guy get beat up really bad outside Labor Ready before work one day for liking Kristi by anther worker who was jealous, I think he thought he was going to get her. He had hit him so hard, his head made a popping sound and he hit the ground. He barely got up walked away stumbling and shaking, he couldn’t even walk. The guy drew blood as everyone (mostly drug addicts) cheered on. It looked like that guy needed medical attention really bad. I never saw him again. I was glad to get a job somewhere else and never come back. |
| 10. Written by Haley Brady, on 28-03-2008 16:11 I used to be on the staff at a Labor Ready office in Hattiesburg, MS. When I first got the job everything was great. I enjoyed the work and most of the workers never give me any problem. A few months after being there I began to figure out things were not being run like they should be.... Many things I was told by my manger conflicted with our policy and what our District Manager had told us. I did question a few things my manager had to say because I knew it was not suppose to be the way she said. Not long after that my manager began to get on my case, A LOT! Eventually it got so bad that she would arrive at work at 5:30 am and start on me and not get off my case until noon when she left,(her shift although, was suppose to be 5:30 to 3:30). She always left work early and after being questioned about it she delivered an excuse that she was out doing "sales visits". Another co-worker and I soon figured out she was going straight home. Not only that, she was being reimbursed over $500 every month for "sales visits" she never attended. She began to tell lies to everyone, about work she did, (although it was employees under her that did her work), talked about workers and employees to her friends and co-workers from different branches, etc... She also had a bad habbit of sending out workers to jobs that were her friends instead of who was actually fit for the job. Something that really bothered me about Labor Ready as a whole was the fact that I was told that when I take maternity leave , even though I had not built up a full 2 weeks of vacation time, I could borrow the time I didn't have and if for some reason I had quit afterwards, the money owed would be taken out of my last check.. Guess what? 2 days before I was suppose to take my leave I called about what I needed to do while I was on leave and asked about my vacation time, I was told that I was not entitled to 2 weeks, no matter if I was told that 5 months beforehand. The Hattiesburg branch could be so much more if they rid themselves of their management they have now. I hope this post helps anyone who is considering Labor Ready INC. |
