Unscrupulous individuals have created Who's Who scams that involve the selling of "memberships" in Who's Who directories. These are essentially thinly veiled scams designed to get individuals to part with their money and not some exclusive directory like the legitimate Who's Who published by A & C Black, or the Marquis Who's Who.

Cambridge Who's Who is one of these organizations. Cambridge's Who's Who BBB (Better Business Bureau) report shows a stunning 150 complaints over the past 36 months, again involving selling and refund practices, and also billing and credit disputes. The bulk of the complaints, 123 out of 150, have been made in the past 12 months.

Cambridge Who's Who has quite a reputation on Scam.com. Also, a search for Cambridge Who's Who on RipOffReport yields a lot of results.

Randy Harris Narod (Registered Representative, Oceanside, New York) submitted an Offer of Settlement pursuant to which he was censured, fined $50,000, barred from association with any NASD member in any capacity, and required to disgorge all monies earned by him while associated or otherwise employed in the securities industry after September 11, 1995, in the amount of at least $1,000. Without admitting or denying the allegations, Narod consented to the described sanctions and to the entry of findings that he arranged to have an impostor take the Series 7 and 63 exams on his behalf. Narod also failed to respond to NASD requests to appear for an on-the record interview.
