Horizon Bank Credit Card

I have a Horizon Bank, Bellingham, WA credit card. The bank is located at 1500 Cornwall Avenue, Bellingham, WA 98225. Phone number 360-733-3050. They supposedly sent me a bill for a $40.00 charge in May. I never received it. On July 3 I got a form letter from the bank in Tampa saying I missed a payment. I never have missed one in all the years I banked with them. Right now they are having liquidity problems in the area of their real estate loans. I contacted the credit card department. They reversed the late fee. This female dog named Lisa in that department said they send the credit agencies like Experian a letter automatically. They told me it was my tough luck and I would have to write a letter. They would do absolutely nothing to help me. This has effectively ruined my credit rating for a lousy $40 charge. Now, with a late payment, they can effectively raise my interest rate as high as they want to. I have told them in no uncertain terms I am reporting them to this website, the local newspaper opinion page and to the Chairman of the Senate and House bank committees. I am sure my U.S. representative will be interested since they are trying to pass a law federally dealing with this kind of stuff. The president of the bank's assistant is trying to help me.
