Cingular complaint
I was a long time customer with Cingular and after two years, never ran into any billing issues. 2 years into my service plan, I called to add long distance to my existing plan.

The rep upgraded my plan and stated it was effective to date and my billing statement will reflect the change. Once I received my statement, I was charged for long distance.

I called to inquire with the billing department and the rep did confirm it was their error and stated as a courtesy she would add on an additional 150 peak minutes as a complimentary bonus. Initially I was very greatfull.

Until a few months later when I received an unusually high bill. About 3 months after that last phonecall I just noticed there was a change, not just in my peak minutes, but my whole plan changed. No more free text messaging and my peak started at 9pm, when it previously started at 7pm.

I called to clear this up and the rep I spoke with told me that I agreed to the plan change and that I was aware in the complete change and also notified me that I called in to administer the change!!! Not the case at all. But still yet, this rep told me she would retro my plan back to the original policy and it would be effective to date.

I agreed to pay the bill, even though I had never went over my plan's policy to be charged anything in addition to my monthly plan in the past 2 year's.

Next statement comes, plan was never fixed,. Called back and requested to speak with a supervisor. She told me that I never called and I am trying to get out of paying my bill, though it wasn't yet due and I had never been late on any payments. She proceeded to tell me that her employees are trained every two weeks to maintain Customer Service skills and I should watch my accusations because all calls are monitored to ensure quality assistance. Implying that I was a liar I requested my conversations be pulled and she said that this case doesn't deserve further questioning. From there I took here employee ID info, wrote two letter's to the administration and never heard back from anyone. But I guess paying customer's are worth anything to a country wide company.
