Westgate Lakes Resort complaint
As part of their sales presentations, Westgate Lakes Resort have always said that all their timeshare weeks are Red Weeks and therefore equal.

Last year they decided to split their less popular weeks from the more popular ones. In other words, make some weeks more 'red' than others. If you own a 'less red' week you now have a 'value' week. One disadvantage of this is that if you want to change your week and you desired dates fall within their more popular seasons, you not only have to pay the usual exchange fee, you also have to pay an upgrade fee.

It therefore appears that Westgate have effectively devalued some owners' weeks even though they would have paid the same as the luckier owners who own the more popular weeks. No compensation was given.
