Travelocity complaint
My wife booked a car through Travelocity for a weekend in Raleigh/Durham at the seemingly ridiculous rate of $16 per day. Shortly before our trip, she called to reconfirm and was told that her reservation did not exist. They rebooked us at a still reasonable $43 per.

After we arrived at RDU, the car company (Dollar) told us that Travelocity had merely reserved the car, not the rate. They wanted $139 per; we bargained down to $119.

Travelocity maintains that they're under no obligation to reserve both cars and rates, and the problem is in fact Dollar's. We've complained to both companies, but Travelocity seems to me to be acting in a misleading fashion.
