Misuse of Credit Card Complaint - Holiday Inn

Holiday Inn complaint

I called 1 800 Holiday to make a reservation, the next day I called to cancel and the agent informed me that I did not have a reservation for the hotel and would not be charged. Guess what they charged me. So, I call up 1 800 Holiday and they tell me that they can't help me call the hotel. The hotel states it's not their fault 1 800 holiday gave them the reservation you need to contact them, 1 800 Holiday states we are just a service you need to get reimbursed from the hotel.

I call the acounting office at the hotel in Orlando she tells me that her general manager has to ok the transfer back to my account. I talk to the GM he states that 1 800 holiday has to send him the money then he can credit my account. I then call back to 1 800 holiday and they open a case and state that I have to wait until they can get a printout of the phone records to see if I called that day.

So now $84.14 was deducted from account on 03/14/04 and they are still waiting for the paperwork. I informed the lady today, 03/29/04 that I have been very patient and that holding my money ""hostage"" was not acceptable and that something needed to be done. ""Sir we are waiting for the paperwork"" I told her that I could care less about what they are waiting for they need to get someone to hand deliver the documents to them and reimburse me the charge.

I asked her where has customer service gone, whatever happened to taking care of the customer. So, now I intend to make it my lifes work to inform every person that I come in contact with about my experience with Holiday Inn. I am seriously thinking about filing a civil suit against the company.

All of this because one person did not do her job and now I have to pay for it.
