There should be something that people can do to resolve these matters and stop companies from getting information illegally.
I also have charges to my account by some company by the name of Digitouch Ltd. that was not ordered by me. I have never heard of this company. I live in a rural area and this telephone services is not even available in my area.
What can be done about this abuse?

| 1. Written by francispage, on 14-07-2008 23:13 I ordered content from an adult site orn.com and was hit with multible charges over and above the $25 I agreed to pay. The charges are for different companies with different billers. I just called the last one(so far) tonight to have them charge back a one dollar charge. It took 20 min. I'll never give my card# to anyone on the net again! |

Written by pissed off wifey, on 26-06-2008 06:26 You're not alone BAS, I used to think my husband was lying to me about not having ordered the sleeze, but now that I finally enrolled in online banking and get to see what his account was looking like before we were married... he has the outrageous charges for the low rate dvd's and also the Digitouch $19.95 multiple times per month. Had I had access to his account information before we were married, I would have been able to do something about this and possibly even dispute to get his money back. It's been a long time since all that and he has since had to cancel his debit card and have another one issued to him with a different number because he couldn't get a handle on where all of his money was disappearing to. It wasn't fun because of all the account updating and re-routing of payments he had to go through for all of his services and recurring charges he had set up. I told him straight out that if he couldn't figure it out and straighten up his account then I wasn't going to let him put me on the account and I SURELY was not going to deposit any of my own pay into an account with random unexplainable activity. The bank's automated phone balance info line would always just say "A debit for $....." with no point of sale name of where the debit was happening. And to think until now, I thought he was lying and didn't want to admit do subscribing to *** and whatnot... My advice is to ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS keep up with what is going on in your bank account. If anyone ever sees "Ggw Video" ($26+)or "Umg*My Adv" or "Umg*Buyedg" or "Digitouch" (each $19.95) on their account statements, don't walk, RUN to your bank and nip it all in the bud! I just can't understand how my now husband couldn't figure out where well over $100 a month was disappearing to... or at least feel the need to investigate it to see if he was being ripped off... |
