NISSAN USA complaint
I bought my 2003 sentra brand new. What I am paying for is the biggest piece of crap you could have. I have replaced the tranmission twice and it was slipping again. I had the heater cable replaced 3 times. I plugged my computer wire into the lighter plug and it burned up my wire the computer, and the lighter plug. I was told that it wasn't covered under my bumper to bumper warrenty! I looked all over my bumper but never found the lighter outside of it. So needless to say they replaced the lighter. This summer just after my warrenty ran out the head gasket blew. After spending another thousand on that, we were going to trade it in on a reliable car when the night before a piece of the car blew off flew into my timing chain and into my cam shaft blowing my engine. Imagine how I felt when I looked for recalls on my 2003 Sentra only to find every thing that has gone wrong with my car to be on the recall list. NEVER once I did I receive a recall on any of the items. I have case number and was told that They had 30 days to contact me. That was on Novemeber 20,2007. Now no one calls me. I am paying for car sitting collecting storage fees, Blown engine and all. I was told at Domnion Nissan in Colonial Heights Va that the only reason they replaced my tranmission the first time was because "I was a ***!" They told me that the only thing wrong with my car was that I needed to change the power steering fluid. I know that when the RPMs jump the way mine did it was the transmission, and that it slipped between second and third each time I drove it. I even took it to a tranmission shop, that documented that the tranmission was shot. That is when I had to take it to Pence Nissan in Richmond where they called me and said they didn't even get it off the lot and could tell the tranmission was shot. Now that I am talking to the East coast rep. He,Rich, tells me nothing can be done. So I ask is a Nissan made to be a 100,000 mile throw away car. He seems to think not. This car has been nothing but one problem after another since I drove it off the lot with 3 miles on it. I have begged for help. I guess my next step is to go to a LEMON Law lawyer. It is my understanding that my car sure fits the bill for those laws. Especially since no one even notifed me of any of the recalls.
