Golds Gym International complaint
Transferring memberships amongst gyms will impact your physical well being (it is a nightmare). After personally experiencing what happened when we moved from Ohio to Fl. I must reiterate service is the absolute worst.

Golds Gym International evidently does not hold their franchises accountable for consistent practices or any standard of customer care for their members. There was a franchise that out right refused to accept anothers transfer of membership. Another franchise that advised they were too large to transfer in a timely fashion.

I was also advised by a franchise, Golds Gym International, was aware of the problem. It appears franchises with the ""Golds Gym"" name are allowed to function as sole proprietorships. You may believe you are buying into a quality gym and your business will be valued.

But, when you get a contract with the ""Golds Gym"" name. It is not necessarily the case. Golds Gym International does not have venues in place that will openly address your concerns if you are treated poorly.

You may jump through hoops and your problem may still go unaddressed. You will be at the liberty of the franchise owners individually. Which perpetuates the inconsistencies in procedures, the inability to transfer memberships, and your getting stuck paying for a membership you can not use... due to all the red tape.
