My car payments are late due to unemployment. I have given HSBC updated information. However, they have called and harassed my sister daily on a consistent basis. I lived with her momentarily. I gave them updated information (new address), the consisted to call my sister, friends and relatives (none of them are co-signers. They also repossessed my car after I had spoken to someone, made an agreement to sign a new contract which would re-amortize my account and bring current, and pay a specified amount to bring account current.

A package containing the new contract and guidelines was express mail to me to sign, date, and seen in a payment with a deadline date of December 30th. They repossessed my car before the deadline and did not notify me. The gentleman that repossessed my car called me that morning and I explained to him about the agreement. He claimed that it was an error on their part because it happened all the time. Anyway, I called him back after I realized my car was gone. This man claimed that he did not know what I was talking about and he was not the individual whom called me about repossessing the car. He told me I had the wrong number. Guess what, my sister and I both had the same number on our caller id. He called us approximately within 5 minutes of each call.

PS- what I forgot to mention, is that until our Bankruptcy, caused by terrible job conditions in So Cal, caused by the bad economy, I had made every car payment on time. Missing payments was only due to a year of unemployment, which is So Cal, is many peoples' situation. HSBC assumes we all just "don't want to pay our car loans". They're lying fools, who don't give a frick about hardships or hard work..

HSBC is lower than scum. To call them scum, is an insult to scum. During our Chapter 7 BK, which was discharged last month, we filed the Debtors Notice of Intent, that we were reaffirming the loan. So we sent notice to them and their attorney, asking for a modification of the loan (which the repo guy said is customary for HSBC to do based on the Kelley Blue Book value), and not only did they NOT communicate back to us, they sent the repo guy out to wake us up on a few Saturday mornings ago, and take our beautiful 2006 VW Passat. When they steal from God's people, they will be judged. That's the comfort we take in our situation, that God will vindicate us, and His vengeance will come on these cold-hearted thieves. There is such thing as God's moral law, which is above all other laws, and grace, mercy, and compassion are part of that. HSBC shows none of these to anyone. They are shameful.

This is my plea & request for help & advice Only. I'm permanently disable . The title to this letter is"My car's sorrow's due to donald Reem @ Don performance corner" in Harrisburg ,pa .Don rebuilt my transmission defectively & it was caused by his careless attitude & below standard part's & Labor,Don said to me "take me to court"an laughed,he also said "prove it"I don't have the fund cause i'm not able to work & exhausted my resource & can't even deal w/ the expence of small claim's court.

I dont only feel that my case & situation not only deserves attention., My case warrent's attention ! What they did to me was against the ethic & moral practices. I'm currently on a Dr's note & not permitted to work . If no one believe's me the fault code's displayed tell the fact's. MY name is Kevin Pfaunmiller and I’m disabled and unable to work. I currently do not have the resource's to defend myself against FRAUDULENT PRACTICES! In the name of common decency & ethical practices PLEASE INVESTIGATE Don's performance & allow me to prove myself to the commonwealth, please!? I took my car to Don's Performance corner on 6/26/07 to had a rebuilt transmission installed. On 03/08 my serv. engine soon light came on w/ fault code indicating internal transmission problems. I did exceed warranty by miles, not the 12 months. I went there in good faith thinking I was purchasing a quality product and in fact I didn’t, I bought junk. I went back repeatedly and w/ no satisfaction .On 06/02/08 was my last time i was there w/ my car and that visit cost me $459.00.The original transmission cost me $2005.00 Why isn’t this transmission working. I have all my receipt and a report done by millers garage @ 432-3064(robert)In the report it show there is several fault codes indicating transmission problems I have two receipts that reflect tork converter replacements, and that is what the problem is. If don's actually done the work they claim and replaced all those part that are on the receipts, Why are those fault codes displayed. Either the work done (or) the parts installed were of below standard .I feel as if this is a fraud because the evidence of the car not working is overwhelming .Don claims theres nothing else that he can do for me ,he never said he could'nt do the job. I learn that by the r! esults, and that makes me a victim .The proof he even done the job is'nt supported by the codes displayed or the performance of my car.PLEASE notify robert @ millers auto ph#432-3064 and he'll confirm the transmission is junk and needs replaced. I depend on my car for my Dr. appt's, an my wife has work .Please allow this forum to serve a purpose and permit me to prove my case before counting me out. I would appreciate any interest ,concern (or)co-operation in this matter. The current fault codes P0756/P1870 internal transmission forum to serve a purpose and permit me to prove my case before counting me out. I would appreciate any interest ,concern or cooperation in this matter. p.s. Don said he done his part, his part and parts damaged my car. Please INVESTIGATE DON'S PERFORMANCE CORNER, THIS BEHAVIOR CAN NOT CONTINUE TO HAPPEN . They need to be held accountable for there dishonest act's. The proof is in the transmission, how can don deny that. My situation is exausting & discouraging.I'm disabled, unable to work and not sure where to turn. This garage took advantage of me in my handicap and i feel used.I Pd. over $2500.00 for parts & labor not rendered and now my account is depleted & my car still is not working.I only want justice & what i'm legally entitled too,a re-enburstment (or) a transmission .I have all my receipts & a report done by a certified garage confirming whats evident. Please allow me to use this forum for me to present my proof & my case.. Sincerely Thx Kevin L Pfaunmiller PS.When ever i'd complain about there part's (or) service's they would bring up other repair's my car needed to change the subject. If i'd have someone to help me present & represent me i'd have donald reem by his nut's & bolt's.

Even when you pay them on time they screw up. I set up a payment to come out on my pay day (and the payment was on time). They took it out a week early. I'm lucky I had enough to cover it. It is no wonder that HSBC is one of the banks that is in trouble.

I live in texas and when hurricane ike hit us, it was a very hard time for the entire coast line. Well, needless to say, I was very grateful when I received a letter from HSBC that because of the hurricane I did not have to pay my notes for 3 months. I called hsbc several times to make sure this was true and all the customer reps said I did not owe until december. Keep in mind I have not been late on my payments. Well, in November I recieved a bill stating my account was over due. I called hsbc asking about the matter and the rep had the nerve to say " Why would we do that ?" I told him I don't know, it's your company. I talked to the manager for an hour and he tried his best to make me pay the extra charges. It I told him flat out that I have proof from their company that I do not owe anything until december and if I was to take them to court the judge would rule in my favor because of the letter from the company and I also reminded him that all my conversations with the customer reps had been recorded. Finally he drop the charges. But now I am dealing with late charges once again, all because I setup a automatic payment with their site, but for some reason they did not take it out. Now they want to charge me for something they didn't do. PEOPLE IF YOU HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS COMPANY, REPORT IT TO THE " BETTER BUSINESS BUREA"!!!! We have to report companies like this, if we don't, trying to sue them is going to be tuff, but if everybody reports their issues, than lawerys will have something to work with.

What can be done? Any legal grounds for any of this?

My husband and I own our own business - successfully until the economic crisis and 30% of our contracts folded. We are just now recovering...

We have a van with HSBC. When we fell behind we contacted them and stayed in contact to let them know we were trying to get back on track.

We worked out a payment arrangement with them that was supposed to ensure our ability to keep the car. On Sunday the 28th a man came to repo our van. I was really confused, explaining to him that we have been on a payment arrangement with them. He told me that they can do anything at anytime. He also told me that they are the WORST company for backstabbing and lying.

I called HSBC on Monday and spoke to an Anthony Thomas. He was very unprofessional and uncaring of the situation (considering his job - I can understand why). I continued to explain to him that I made arrangements and was keeping to them. I left me on hold for some time and came back with a "deal" - I agreed to the deal - having the week to get the monies in. Again I thought that everything was getting worked out!

I received a call this morning Tues. 12/30 from Anthony, harassing me and wanting to know where the money was. I explained to him that our understanding was that I would have it to them by Friday. He told me that is no longer acceptable and I need to get it in by tomorrow or else my car would be taken to another state and sold.

I get that many people skip out on loans and try to cheat the credit system. What I do not get, is that before we fell behind, we were NEVER late. And the minute I realized I could not catch-up, I called and set up arrangements.

Why is this happening? Why does HSBC want to force us out of our van? Why is this not illegal? It seems to me that a person trying to keep in the loan and stay in the car would be a better situation than , repo/sale/sue.

Has anyone found an advocate for this kind of corrupt business practice that I can call?

My husband and I are middle-class, hardworking individuals with 5 children, just trying to stay afloat! Our mortgage company worked with us and modified our loan. What is going on!!! Please help me if you can. We are currently without a car and need to get this resolved. At this point a BK is looking like our only option...
