Back in June of 2007 I sent Juniper Bank a check to payoff my account. I then received a statement 2 months later with a $35 balance on it. I disregarded this statment knowing that I'd paid the account off. The following month I received another statement still with the same $35 balance but this one had a late fee of $39 late fee. I wrote them a letter requesting that they adjust my account to reflect that it had been paid in full. They sent me a return letter stating that they could not do that that the account is a revolving account and until I actually show a 0 balance my account will continue to accrue charges. Now they say I'm 6 months past due and soon to be marked for charge off and subsequent collection. It seems to me that this is completely illegal and this company should be charged appropriately for their business conduct. Is there anyone out there that can help resolve these types of issues for the consumer?

no offense dude, but this one is YOUR fault. you NEVER disregard ANYTHING when it comes to credit card statements.

whenever you pay off a balance, you still may get a finance charge, that is probably what that $35 was. if you had called them right away when you got the statement, they would have told you that.

i am not defending the CCs, but this one is YOUR fault.
