Carmax complaint
I bought a BMW M3 from car carmax. they said they did the 110 point inspection. It was really a 10 point inspection. my clutch started to slip after I bought the car, and I have had many cars that were stick shift. I was not riding the clutch. I got the car from the carmax in FL, I thought I got a deal but I really got a piece of junk. Every week something goes bad. This Monday I have to get a new ABS computer because my old one broke. Not to mention that my steering wheel is deteriorating it must be from all that hot weather in FL. A new one is about $700 at the dealer ship. Luckily for me that my cousin lives in Germany I will get him to ship one over for a cheaper price.

My leather seats are wearing relay fast, and I am redoing them. also my steering wheel is making strand noise. I could go on all night about problems I have had. I guess the owner of the car sold it right when he knew the car was about to fall apart.

My electrical system is messed up and everything looks like it is going down hill from here. I tell everyone to be careful about a used car. you know what you have when you spend the extra money on a new car, but you never know what you have when you get a used car.

This is my first and last time I buy a car from carmax. Don't be dumb like I was and fall for a good deal. You pay for what you get. I should have listened to my friends that got a car from carmax, they warned me but I didn't listen, and know I hope you don't do what I did.

Take my advice and be smart and careful about any used car you buy. They took me for a real ride.

Im taking a guess that you had turned down the extended service plan offered on your rather high maintence bmw. Also if the clutch started sliping after you bought it why didnt you return it within the first 5 days. Even if you didnt buy the service plan carmax would have fixed anything wrong with the car in the first 30 days. You also said the seats are wearing out fast......that would be carmax fault how? Carmax is not perfect but at least they give you options. 5 day return, 30 day warenty, and a named excllustion service plan for up to 100,000 miles.
