This gas range has been a huge disapointment. The average cost of each of the service calls has been $250! I purchased the range for $1245 from LOWES in Northern NM. The problem area is the touch pad electronic contral panel which has been replaced along with the wiring diagram. This unit must have been rushed through design and on to production! My stove would not shut off after a routine oven operation. I had to call the safety department at Whirlpool and they recommended shutting the unit off at the breaker box! This stove could be very dangerous if someone does not know where the breaker box is located. I would not recommend this stove unless you like scheduling service calls and writing checks! I will replace this stove with a GE or possiblity a HOTPOINT since Whirlpool does not own these companies! I pleaded with Whirlpool to own up to this Ford Pinto of the gas ranges, but their response has been pretty much the typical response of an overextended worldwide corporation. I hope Whirlpool will understand that their reputation is worth more than a $1245 lemon of a stove!
