My (now) fiancé obtained a loan with Vanderbilt 7 years ago. I moved in with him 4 years ago. My name and contact information is in no way associated with with his account. I assume that the scavengers at Vanderbilt googled my address, cross referenced my CELL number and called me AT WORK. A day later, on Good Friday, a collections minion knocked on our door. The check had been sent off a week... Read more

purchased a single wide mobile home in sep of 2013, we are on disablility and was told a 9% interest rate is as low as you can get for a mobile home, we are 50 years old and in bad health, wanted a place for the grandkids to come and stay, had an old 40 year old mobile home falling down, at the closing we found out they put a lein on the property and cost of loan was much more, there is more to... Vanderbilt mortgage took over my loan approximately eight years ago. They acquired the loan from oakwood homes/Clayton homes. I purchased my home in 1998 without being informed about polybuteyne pipes and fittings and all of the issues these fittings were having. When I called to inquire about these issues i could not get any assistance or solutions, as I was having serious water damage to my... Read more

My husband and I have been dealing with them only for about 9 months. Because of the way we work and how we get paid we have set dates that we pay our mortgage. Every month they call non stop even after they have arrangements. They have called my job several times after they were told to quit calling my job. Today was the straw that broke the camels back. They called my husband, then me and... Read more

I am a single mother of 11 year old twin girls and my youngest is gonna be 10 on 01-06-2014. Kids' dad left and doesn't care. I should have took the Insurance money left from my dad who was only 61 when he passed and got out of the mobile home then, I stayed and paid the payments I was behind. I haven't worked since 8-2010 due to issues with my back. I finally got an upright MRI after I almost... Read more

This company is a pain in the rear end. I have been with this company for 12 years now and I am about to make it my last year. They are heartless demons that work there and I might be late on my payment but they have gotten one every month. They demand you to pay asap even if you don't have the funds in the bank or they want you to post date a check what a joke. I use to never have these problems... Read more

I was in a difficult financial situation and I asked vanderbilt for a deferment. I had never been late in 6 yrs since coming out of a chapter 13. They asked me a lot of questions about my finances like car payments, light bills , credit card payment etc which I thought was irrelevant. The rep said she would call me back later to let me no if I was"approved". No one ever called but one week later... Read more

After losing my job my mortgage got behind. Everytime I asked for a deferment they wanted my bank statements, credit card statements and income tax returns to prove what I have been doing with any funds that I have received. I am now trying to catch up but they still will not give me a deferment. I believe it will just be easier as someone stated earlier to file a lawsuit, and hope that it helps,... Read more
