VER Rep usually would call to setup annual warranty service in the 1st week of January. With no call received, I reached out to them only to find the number is no longer valid. After researching, VER went out of business? WTF!?!?

Out of Business

Their top-rated tech that was with them when they closed their doors is available to service, Keith 602-538-****. Text or email kvrussell18@***.com. Jacob was not even employed with them when they closed their doors. VER's books went to AEP, however, they do not have a tech on staff that knows these water systems. Your gamble.

Tank warranty

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Dissapointed with system. After havinh system a year char coal in tank fill apart and water in toilets and out of faucets is black.

Told me ok to drink, ruined new toilets. Wants me to pay 300 for tank shipping, free installation. Sure they have a ton of these tanks in yard, should be free.

Paid over $ 5000 for system. Want it taken care of or coplaining to Bbb about it.

I have essentially the same issue. The carbon used to take out impurities is starting to break down in the tank and causing discoloration in the water.

I was told it would cost me $1000+ to fix if I didn't have the warranty, but only $500+ if I did! Lucky me right! It's their equipment. I don't see why I should be paying anything.

In fairness, I have had the system for 6 years, but I also pay $160+ each year for maintenance/service and the system originally cost $5000 which is much more expensive than any water system I am aware of. This seems like a planned obsolescence money making scheme.

This place is crooked. The people only care about sales and not people.

It's businesses like this that I wish people would put out of business. The door to door sales reps are drug addicts and drunks.

Softining your water is a placebo. The systems are overpriced and constantly need maintnance Ridiculous.

Showing up hungover and are pushy and inconsiderate. Water softners are a placibo. It does not purify or take out the harmful contaments that matter. Way over priced. My review for this that I was very satisfied with my service Dan Hasler was on time, did every thing need to be done, from resetting my tank that needed to be done, checking the water in the bathroom and kitchen I do not remember being done. He answered questions and had no problem with me watching him. I would like to give a SHOUT OUT to Dan great job! I would like to request him as my service man.

The majority of people who respond in a 5 star rating are family members of the people that work for the company and or people that work for the company. This company prays on old people and sales is what matters not people..

Black water from water softener

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Valley Environmental Resources - Black water from water softener

Its been the worst overpriced investment I've made.

If you don't mind being way over charged for the the water softener product that other vendors sell then less than half the price of VER but do the same, then VER is for you. Be Aware that after 5yrs of use, this crapsystem began issuing a gray to black water that is considered not harmful and perfectly fine according to them, and you thought "the fogy water looked bad!" So if the chlorine is high in your area it will dissolve the coal in your filter tank causing the water to come out black and staining everything from toilets, sinks, tubs, and clothes, even the pool.

VER recommended dishining out another $700 to have tank replaced , haha...

And can't guarantee it won't continue to occur.

Paying the system, and for salt bags and services, I have easily exceeded $8000. You've been Warned

I wish you would report this to the BBB. The only reason they have an a+ rating is because people don't complain to the BBB. Everyone should speak up

Recycling period.....

Our unit recycles itself every two - seven days. Is this normal of this unit? Regardless, what is causing this type of action? Very annoying to be woken up at 2 am because of the loud, rushing water in the laundry room to the unit. Yes, I've called numerous times and left my cell phone number and have not received a response. Only other time a service representative has shown up, other than to install the unit, was when I reported a water leak from the water spigot. I would appreciate a response ASAP! If such a call is not warranted, please email response to either jalapeno1959@***.com or huey04@***.com. Thank you. Sincerely, Peter Estrada (Disgruntled client) 520-236-****

Valley Environmental Resources Filtration System Installation Review from Los Angeles, California

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had the sales rep Mayra cone over to the house and she was awesome the product is great also... but the install is a different story the guys came in i told them i wanted the water lines through the attic and the softner & filter in the garage and they had a fit, they ended up putting the equipment in the garage but ended up making a shallow trench in front of my house to pass the plumbing through, they cut corners on everything they did, they made three holes in my exterior wall to pass the plumbing through there right next to the garage door, the holes aren't even level with each other making the 3holes an eye sore, they didn't even insulate any of the copper pipes & didn't cover the trench properly.... if i would've known this i would've never got this system.... great product & warranty horrible install.....

Sale not happening

Wow just spent over 2 hrs with a rep David and he was an absolute gentlemen and went over all of the products, the tests, the demonstrations. Explaining everything. However we had requested a 24hr time period to discuss this because it was such a large purchase. No the company doesn't do that this is a special offer with all the products and bla bla bla. Well after talking with him a bit more and him stating that he couldn't give us the 24hr period. We decided to not purchase the product. Unfortunately we had already given 4 of our friends names as possible customers. Already sent emails telling them not to bother and do not set up appointments. Because once we stayed firm on the NO for immediate purchase his whole demeanor changed, his attitude got snooty, he when from polite to down right rude. So I decide to get on the internet and check this company out I am so glad that we decided against this purchase. And to my friends I am so sorry I suggested you.

Poor customer service, water system not as expected

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user May 11, 2015

I also wanted to mentioned that the salt in the water has caused a health issue for my husband, causing his blood pressure to go up. I have had problems with water retention and swelling of hands.

Original review May 11, 2015
We bought our water system about 8 months ago. When the sales rep “Deif” arrived at our house, he showed us how our water could be improved, how it would make cleaning the shower easier and the bonus was the 5 years of cleaning supplies. We were impressed and bought the RO system. He scheduled a team to come install the system, arranged financing and promised to come back in one month to see how the system was working and if we had any problems or concerns. Deif stated since our home is only 6 years old, the build up from the untreated water should be gone in no time. Once we signed on the dotted line and the installation complete, we never heard another word from them. Except for a form letter we were sent requesting we copy it and post it as our glowing review. That’s not going to happen. One month after our system was installed, we had a leak. We called Valley Environmental Resources, they laugh and told us to call a plumber. Evidently, once the system is installed all problems with that system are the owner’s problems. We demand they send out a service tech, the service tech arrived, spent 3 minutes accessing the leak and told us to call a plumber. My husband ended up fixing the leak himself. Next are the 5 years of cleaning supplies: laundry detergent, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, shampoo, all purpose cleaner, etc. These products combined with the RO system are supposed to make laundry cleaner, glass shower easier to clean, skin softer, hair shinier, etc. Plus the money we were suppose to save is literally going down the drain with the excess water the RO system uses to regenerate and the bags of salt you must purchase to make the system work. What totally bogus claims. We have to use twice the amount of laundry detergent to clean the clothes, double the dishwasher soap, the all purpose cleaner was three times the amount and still have to use a scrub brush to clean the shower. We called Valley Environmental Resources to find out the reason we needed to use double the amount. The sales rep stated that if the cleaning supplies are left in a hot garage or storage, it could cause them to not work as advertised. We storage them in the hall closet and our home is thermostat controlled at 80 degrees. We thought the cleaning supplies might have lost their effectiveness while storied in their warehouse. We asked if we could have replacement cleaning supplies to see if that made all the difference. No can do. In conclusion, if you want to work with a company, that provides a great presentation with absolutely no customer service to back up the claims and promises of the sales reps, then this is your company. If you expect great customer service for the huge amount of money you are spending on a RO system, keep looking. This company is all talk, no action.

Just thought I would mention that, the way ALL water softeners work, there is no salt in your water. Salt water is used to rinse the sediment in the softener.

The sediment absorbs the negatively charged ions from the salt and it leaves positively ionized water, which the system flushes. If the system is malfunctioning, you would be drinking positively ionized water......probably with too much potasium in it.....but still no salt.

You should seek medical advice for the increased blood pressure because there is no possible way it is due to salt from the softener. That is chemically impossible.
