I've been trying to pay a debt off for over 3 months now. I've had the money and have been willing to pay for a very long time. Below is what happened:

Earlier last year they offered me a settlement and I paid that amount and they said that the account had been closed..now when I went to their client, Enterprise Rentals (to who I owed the money), they said that no settlement was offered and the account is not closed. After this for over three months I've asked this company to provide me a payment history letter (this has been me calling for over 3 months now, speaking to a rep, then their supervisor, and hearing the same thing again and again) calling in every 2 weeks - they still haven;t sent me one..I can't trust this company and am not able to pay my debt off and am getting my credit spoiled..I am sick and tired of this useless company that has no accountability and am wondering how on earth did enterprise hire them. Below are the names of the people I spoke to:

Anete Elliot (Rep), Iesha Gray (supervisor),Jason (Rep), Todd Stufflebeam (Supervisor), and many more -- these have been in the past month.

Note: I owed close to 2900 and after paying 1500 I don't know where my money went and where the money will go if I try to pay the rest off since this company doesn't provide me payment history and offers me settlements and then says that was a mistake and that employee was from another department or that branch shut down. The worst company ever.

It's a scam unfortunately. They called me and I have no debt. They are just stealing money.

Ask for a settlement letter confirming the arrangement and send the cashiers check. It's that simple.

They wanted to do an ACH because you obviously have broken promises in the past.

Nobody on this site tells the whole story. LAME!!!!!

What I've mentioned is the whole story and I haven't broken any promises I've always paid my dues and set up payment plan if I couldn't. Also, I am now 100% debt free.

A letter confirming the settlement offer was the first thing I asked for in writing and on the calls.

Also, not knowing where my money was going when I sent payment to this shady company was why I didn't send any check or any payment until I got a letter (3 months after me continuously calling them everyday).

"Nobody on this site tells the whole story. LAME!!!!!" --- That is a very prejudiced and *** thing to say and tells a lot about you and your ignorance.

I have been dealing with this group as well, trying to pay off a debt of my mother's. I tried to negotiate the debt down with Scott McGuire (Supervisor???) who would accept the amount we agreed upon ONLY if I gave him the routing number to my mother's account so that he could access the payment directly.

I refused. I said I would send him a cashier's check, but not give him access to any bank account. I don't trust him or them. I asked for a statement for the negotiated amount my parent owed.

He refused.

We are at a stalemate, and my mother's debt continues on, unsatisfied. Why won't they accept a cashier's check?????

Keep calling them and asking to speak to supervisors and one of these days you'll come across and accountable person who will be able to help you...it took me 28 calls for this to actually work and to become debt free. Hang in there buddy!!!
