My car payment was fully paid off in December 2012. I had my payments setup through Toyota autopay on their website. Toyota has closed my online account since but has not stopped requesting payments from my bank. My bank account has been paying Toyota for the last 5 months. My leased vehicle was subsequently purchased and 3 days after the payment was due I began receiving calls from Toyota Financial reminding me that my payment was past due. So Toyota financing takes out my wife's car Payment with Autopay,on Feb 12, then took a second payment for "someone else's car". Now after several calls and faxes we still are owed over $400 almost a month later. Supervisor "Linda" says this is not "the first time this has happened to someone." I did not get the statement for the month of January 2013 so I called customer service in Arizona to tell them. The CSR told me to just mail my check and include the account number for my monthly payment. I mailed my check on Feb.1/13 in Carol Stream, IL. Toyota cashed it on Feb.8/13. we keep getting calls in the middle of the night, during the day and no one will tell us who has the authority to stop the phone calls. Even when we ask for a supervisor, that person gives us a run around and states that they do not have the authority to stop the calls even though they admit they have an incorrect number for the person they are trying to collect from and it just happens that... So I get a letter the other day from Toyota financial that said I had paid off my loan in full and my title would be sent out to me, I found that very shocking because I never sent out a payment and I still owed about 8K on the loan I called and they said they received a check from a loan company called Rate Genius Service Loans and they sent out my title to them! my car was repossessed because TFS did not disclose their payment policy. After I paid my past due of $531.33 , they state they have a 10 day hold on funds. I take accountability for my payment being late, I don't take accountability for the fact that they had my payment, said they had it, said they would stop the repossession but still repossessed my vehicle. They do not have a clue about customer service. I bought a new car in 2010 from (Steven Eagell Toyota, UK) and was given a number of items free. Thought I could trust them but recently found out that they had charged me for everything - informed TFS but they don't want to know. Toyota is at fault for allowing TFS to operate like this.
