10 yrs ago in July of 2003 I borrowed $800, I declared bankruptcy in 2004, My TRUSTEE paid them in Full the amount owed, I later paid my trustee in full and was released in 2006. 10 years later CASH STORE submitted a payment due for amount borrowed (same amount) dated July of 2013, they falsly changed the year, and placed a bad mark in my EQUIFAX credit ratings. I found my papers from my trustee... Read more

I am in my late 60's and made the biggest mistake of my life BORROWING $500 from the cash store. It ended up costing me over $2000 over 10 months, and my payoff was still $587.00. The MAFIA does not charge this much. My oldest son found out about it and went down and payed it off for his parents on Social Security.Sometimes we could not make the payment exactly on THEIR DUE DATE, and they would... Read more

I am in my late 60's on Social Security. I BORROWED as a payday advance, $500 on 1-12-2013. I paid for 10 months and i still owed $498. Pay off was $568. I paid in $240 a month, so i paid in $2400, and it did not go down. My oldest son found out about this and went immediately and paid it off at $568. The MAFIA would not charge this much. i found out that they found a small loophole in the law... Read more

I applied online, received a call, and was told to bring in documents. I submitted all my paperwork as soon as I got there, then I had to complete an application, etc. Finally, when they get to my checkstub they tell me that they cannot give me a loan because the company I work for does not deduct income taxes. I asked for my paperwork and was told I could not have it. Now they have my personal... Read more

I borrowed $1000.00 from Cash Store in Post Falls Idaho in November of 2012. As of today (7/10/2013) I have paid back over $2,000.00 cash and found out I still owe them over $700.00. I went in on June 7th to make a payment and they told me I didn't have a payment due, because I was so far ahead on my payments, that there was no payment due. I wasn't told that it was going to cost me an extra... Read more

The cash store is the worst place to borrow money. Their interest rate is way tooooo much. Each time you make a payment,, half of it goes towards the interest, so imagine how much you will end up paying. please don't dare to refinance because it makes you to start paying it over again. It's really upsetting. I borrowed $200 from here and I ended up paying about $600. The worst thing is that they... Read more

The Cash Store - Interest Rate Well Above Credit Card Default

Do not do business with the "Cash Store" or any other business of this type. They are freely willing to offer loans and don't require a credit check, but what they don't tell you is they will charge you an APR of over 600%. No, that is NOT a misprint...600%! Even the credit card companies don't charge a default rate over 35% APR. This type of activity is worse than a credit card... Read more

Do not use the cash store. I called and spoke to an employee, which was about a 15 minute call. When I showed up to complete the application process, I was informed I needed information she didn't ask for me to bring when we spoke on the phone. Then, I got not one but 2 courtesy calls regarding my payment....ok fine. On the second call, I am informed that my payment MUST be made in either cash,... Read more
