I am swearing off eating at Taco Bell. Your prices are too high and your food is pervasively getting smaller and YOU KNOW IT.

In the mid 1980s, your food was high priced, but the product was superior to Del Taco etc. In the 90s, you over-seasoned the ground beef. Your big economic boom in the 90s was due to lowering your prices...AND YOU KNOW IT. So, now you are like all the others, putting the boots to a public that is getting poorer.

Do yourselves a favor and be the good guys again by actually feeding the folks who visit you and not fleecing their skimpy wallets. Remember the 59 cent taco days and even the 39 cent taco days of the 90s?? It was no surprise that Taco Bell became so big then.

And please goto the old ground beef recipe of the 80s....just ground beef...then maybe I will eat your product again. David Rn

Its true a soft chicken taco used to be about 1.79 in new york city about 2-3 years ago. NOw its over $3!

I realized this too. Heres the stupidity - taco bell is supposed to be cheap food; they are charging as much as those gourmet taco places (ie Ottos tacos) -so why go to Taco Bell?

I agree. Prices are going up and the portions are getting smaller.

My favorite is the meximelt. It used to be full of ingredients and .89 cents... now, it's a table spoon of meat, a tablespoon of veg and some cheese for two bucks.. just ridiculous.

It's soo small... what a shame. And yes... in the 90's their food actually tasted good...

now all I can taste is the afterburn of fake food (food additives?). Go back to using real beef fat when you cook your meat. Ps...

no way a simple bean burro should cost more than .75 cents... $1.29 is a rip off.

I agree, I ordered 4 crunchy tacos and paid over $8.00. I'm done with this place.

Plus they charged my $2.00 just to add sour cream to the tacos!!

I could buy a pint of sour cream for that!! Their food is not that good that anyone should pay the prices that they are charging!

no...t.b. is over priced, a corporate run t.b.

is half the price of a franchise run one.

"pal" only 20 percent of t.b's are corporate in the usa. :eek

I haven't eatin' at Taco Bell in years because the last time I went a taco was 89 cents, now a 1.09!? Please...

I go to Del Taco for taco night. Tuesday 3 tacos for 99 cents.

Guest

Definitely too expensive. Paid 8 bucks for 4 tacos. Never esting at taco bell again

Guest

I agree. I got some last night...for the last time.

$1.09 for a taco?! I can get two from jack for ten cents less! The food is not that good.

It's cheap *** good to grab on the way home when you do not want to spend an arm and a leg...and do not want to cook. Much better choices in the price range they are in now.

Per the Huffington Post รขโ‚ฌล“Taco Bell had a rough yearรขโ‚ฌย, as many of itรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs competitors thrived in this cash strapped economy. Thereรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs so much demand for their product that they had to lay off 100 employees.

Maybe the Taco Bell next to your trailer park is doing well; the one in my area is usually vacant.

Also, I wouldn't consider 2007 as part of the 90's, nice try self-schooled economist. You truly are an ***.

Listen pal, if you aint got the cash for your so beloved tacos, go to Mc D's and get a mcdouble on the dollar menu. Or, pack your lunch.

Second, ummm, its not the 90's anymore. Ever heard of inflation? I dont even have a college degree and I have a better understanding on why prices go up and down. Taco Bell has high prices because they have a very high demand.

In the 90's, they had a low demand hence why they lowered their prices. You truly are a retard.

During the college years I ate at the local Taco Bell at least 3 or 4 times a week. Being a vegetarian (lacto-vegetarian), & on a budget necessitated cheap fast food.

From the 90รขโ‚ฌโ„ขs up until 3 or 4 years ago, Taco Bell was the go to place for quick inexpensive food on the road. As some of my favorites, the 7 Layer Burrito in particular, doubled & almost tripled in price, my selections dwindled until I was left with the lowly bean burrito. Now the aforementioned has been reinvented into roughly a quarter ounce smear of beans, pinch of cheese & minced onion standing a mere eighth of an inch high. If that werenรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt bad enough, itรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs price went up 30%.

My last visit to the place I frequented for 20 years ended with 5 of these sorry excuses. I even counted them at the register, I would have swore there was only one normal burrito in the bag judging by the weight.

My $6.45 meal left me hungry & pissed; I spent $4.50 at the Wawa a half mile down the road, & it by itself sated my hunger (a *** of allot better quality to boot). Is Reed Hastings now running Taco Bell; less for more, a very *** recession business model.
