Accused of Stealing Chips in Subway
I was accused of stealing Verde chips out of Subway 131 Kailuani in Waikiki at 7:20pm.
I walked into subway around 7:15pm.
Grabbed a bag of Verde chips preparing to order a sub. But it was busy and I was pressed for time. So put them pack in their original place and left to see if Burger King wasn't as busy but it was so I Stood outside thinking where else I should go to eat. Then Subway employee, Oliver, Came outside requesting me to come back in.
I asked if it was because he thought I stole the chips. He said, "yes". He told me that a customer said that I stole it. So he had me embarrassingly stand and wait for them to call their manager.
I asked to see the video of what I was accused of. The lady who said I stole the chips said she HEARD me grab the chips, then she said I just left. The whole embarrassing time, Subway employee, Oliver, sided with the lady customer saying, "thank you for informing me of this". That makes me sound like I'm guilty in front of other customers.
I was treated very, very unfairly and accused and detained and embarrassed. I received a scripted apology with no compassion or respect.
I will not forget or let it go. I'm prepared, legally, to do what it takes to fight this abusive bully-type public embarrassment I experienced.

If you were short on time why demand to see the cameras that would take more time than when you ran out.
You cant take this legally it is your word against theirs, next time do the adult thing and learn to wait in line like everyone else instead of running off. I am sure every place has line ups.
You could have asked the "lady" if she was deaf and blind from syphilis. Out loud.
You werent detained, you really dont have any case. No one cares, get over yourself
