I ordered a snow gage from a company that used Speedee delivery. I wanted to give this as a Christmas present(yes, my friend asked for it).

I put the order in on Dec. 5th. and I was notified that it shipped out on the 7th. I waited and waited and finally called the company I ordered the snow gage from and they assured me that they had sent it out on the 7th and they gave me the tracking number.

I then called Speedee delivery and they assured me it was on the truck ready to be delivered. Well, it wasn't delivered and finally I called them back today, the 23rd, one day before Christmas eve! I kept getting the run around. Each customer service person said that they would find out for me.

Finally I called at 4:00 this evening and the customer service person said they would have their manager call me back. No one called me back. I finally called back at 9:00, and a woman answered. She said she just "Answers the phones" and there were three orders with the same tracking number!

She has no idea where my order is and it is Christmas eve tomorrow and I do not have a present. I am SO MAD.

After reading many of these anonymous comments from Speedee employees, it is clear Speedee would be better off to raise wages and fire all these workers that knife their employer. My employer makes mistakes, my supervisors make mistakes, sometimes those mistakes cost our company millions of dollars.

Fact is when I was hired, I was hired to perform a specific job. They did not hire me to review how the company operates, to review how my supervisors operate, to ask for my opinion on how to grow the business. I was hired to perform a set of skills that I am qualified to perform and nothing else. If the company wants my opinion on a matter, they will tell me what what that opinion is.

This situation works out well for me because I get paid to do what the company wants me to do and I do not cause problems for my supervisors even if I think they are wrong. If the situation becomes a living nightmare, I can quit and take my skills somewhere else.

This is a nice way of saying it. The say thing could be stated in a few simple words but then who would want to read that.

I plan on telling the company that sent out my package to change delivery services. Its been 4 days since they say it shipped.

I live two hours from their warehouse!! What a joke!! The worst lazy delivery service I've ever seen.

I won't be surprised if my package is damaged due to the lack of care they tend to take. Speed Dee sucks ***

Spee-Dee has lived up to it's "reputation" of being a bad delivery company. My package was "Out for Delivery" yesterday at 8 am. So I call there at 6:30 pm and the lady is polite but tells me, "Well, the drivers deliver up until 7:30 pm. If it does not get there by today, call us tomorrow at 7 am."

Alright, so then at 8:30 pm, the website updates and says its back in Aurora at 6:13 pm. Now today, since 9:20 am it's been out for delivery. Called there today about 8:15 am, they asked for the tracking number and the lady tells me, "I see what you are talking about, well maybe the driver ran out of time or the truck broke down. They will reattempt delivery today".

I mean, I know USPS/UPS/FEDEX mess up too, but this company seems to have the exact problems everyone keeps talking about with reviews online. I never heard of them before and my experience is matching what was said. I am not confident the package will get there today and in one piece but guess I will see soon. I will report back either way.

I currently work at Spee Dee and everyone here is right about calling in and nobody is there or when they do they don't know any answers. This reason is also provided by comments.

They don't care about their *hourly* employees. When I say "they" I mean the one man who is in charge of the entire company and makes pay/vacation decisions. They brag about never having to lay anyone off because they pay so poorly people leave for a job with better pay. So when people leave, they are replaced with new people who have to learn the system.

When they learn the system, they find another job to go to. Its a big cycle of teach and gone. Salary paid positions rarely answer the phone because "thats what they have hourly people for." Starting wage for anyone in the office work is 8.75 around and caps at 14.50. while 14.50 is decent it takes years to get there.

Out of your 90 day trial you are raised to 9.00 an hour, then every 6 months after that you get a chance..a chance, at getting a $.50 raise. So $1.00 a year. You'd have to work there 5 1/2 years to be able to get the max. Your reviews are BS because if you have kids and you need to tend to them, Spee Dee doesn't care why you're gone...just that you're gone.

Points off the review right there for a valid reason. If you call after 5 for help, good luck. It's not the employees fault, believe me they'd love the overtime. They get yelled at for having too much overtime.

They HAVE to leave at 5 if there really isn't anything more important. If there is something more important, it's not to answer phones. The thing that bothers me about most reviews is they harp on the employees and the "company" overall when its really REALLY due to the one man who started the company shooting down any talks of pay raises or overtime. Dead serious it really is one guy.

Google the company founder and find out his name, I won't post it. Next time you're mad at this "company", just remember...its all because of this one guy.

:( I have been off work since last wednesday when my car broke down and I ordered a part. The part was sent Thursday morning and was supposed to be here Monday.

Well today is Thursday so I went back on their website again and now it says it was delivered on Tuesday and left at my back door. I've been here not working waiting for this part and now they lost it??? I have things delivered by UPS ALL the time and NEVER ONCE has it failed to show up.

The ONE AND ONLY time a company sends me something VERY important by Speedee and they LOSE IT? What a joke of a company...

Spee Dee promoted a real winner @ the Aurora branch, 90% of the employees DO NOT LIKE THAT STOOL SAMPLE & the other 10% well lets just say they are a little slow...good luck. Goes to show how that company thinks & acts.

I feel sorry for all the aurora branch drivers... :grin

That 3rd rate comapny sucks BAD. That's why they lost a few major accounts @ their Aurora Illinois branch.

They are CHEAP. They recycle their vans that are unsafe to operate. Use vice grips to hold the sliding door on a few vans, they were never repaired properly. One instance a van needed new roaters because the existing ones were badly worn down, they were resurfaced a few times & all the mechanic did was throw on a new pair of break pads.

Their were plenty of vans that were not safe to operate & the company knew about it but disregared the warning & sent the driver out. All that company cares about is making the "higher ups" money & treat drivers like slaves. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...EVER. Fed Ex, U.P.S.

or DHL...way better than using this garbage of a company.

Eveyone knows Fed Ex U.P.S & DHL...how many people have heard of spee dee??? :grin

A few years ago at our Saint Cloud Minnesota branch I saw a G van that had one of its tail lights duct taped and spray painted over with white paint.... Talk about ghetto

spee dee delivery is a joke of a company thats why they havnt expanded their business. They have been around as long as fed ex, why wouldnt they expand as much as other delivery services, I'll tell u why...THEY ARE CHEAP.

THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES LET ALONE CUSTOMERS. They are also a racist company to work for. i worked for that 3rd rate delivery service & they run the drivers ragged. When you try & say something to upper management they turn around & *** over for the next day deliveries...give u stops out of your route range, send you to do pick ups that are over 20 miles away from your route.

They dont like employees who speak up about anything. To all who read this I urge all to use U.P.S. or Fed Ex or DHL. mite cost more but you will be satisfied, & you will recieve your packages on time.

& if you dont Im sure their companies will resolve any problems that mite arise. DON'T USE SPEE DEE DELIVERY.

Well it doesn't surprise me that I am not the only one with the same complaint, this company definately does not have their business together. Like others on here, I ordered a package from a company who uses spee-dee delivery and I found out that supposedly my package had been delivered but I never received any package.

I filled out a dispute form with the company who was sending my order and advised them of this, and like 3wks later I received a note from Speedee delivery that they attempted to deliver a package however the delivery person did not check off anything advising when he would return or anything, so I let 2 days pass to see if they would show, I left a note advising for them to leave the package at the main office, well they never returned, so I called their customer service number to question when they would return because they didn't give me that information on the slip. The guy who answered took my information and said he'd check into and return my call, needless to say he didn't return my call I called back the next day and spoke with some lady who was confused as ever, she couldn't give me any information, I called back and spoke with the supervisor, he also couldn't give me any information and appeared to get agitated because I questioned how are they a delivery company and can't provide any information on my package.

I still didn't get anywhere and advise the guy that I will contact the company where I placed my order from and recommend they no longer use their service, his response was, "OK maam and we will make sure not to deliver at this address", uh what delivery company says that especially when there was no kind of problems with anyone at my address, all they needed to do was do their job and drop off the package. It was very weird, I believe what they do is take peoples packages because they act very suspicious when you call and is simply inquiring about the delivery of your package.

absolutely horrid service. I dropped off a package Thursday at 4pm and they assured me that the order would be delivered the next day Friday.

When tracking the package it showed that it went out for delivery that Friday morning at 7:30am. I was assuming that that information was reliable. 5:30 Friday evening I checked again assuming a delivered status and it showed another arrival scan for the package back at the warehouse! I immediately called and was told that it was after hours and that I would have to call on Monday, and that she just answers the phone!

There was no information and no reason why the package was not delivered. The package just rode on the truck around town all day and was brought back to the station (assuming the information they provide online is correct)! I should also mention that the delivery address is only 9miles from the warehouse. 4 days to deliver a package in town, I could have crawled there with my hands tied behind my back and delivered it sooner!

by the way this is not the first time this happened, the first time I thought may have been a fluke as things happen sometimes and figured I would give them another shot, boy was I wrong.

don't waste your time or money, go with a company that cares. Its amazing that they are still in business, considering all they do is "deliver" packages and they cant even do that right!

Funny I work there too and usually if its not there its the shippers fault cause we have 3 daze max get them delivered and if can't they get returned to shipper

Definately upset, I ordered supplies for my c-pap machine because it was time, the company informed me that it would go out on the 7th of this month and I should have it by the 8th well guess what I don't have it because it is still stuck on some speede delivery truck. I called my supply center back and they gave me a tracking number and I could track the number online.

And everyone I talked to said well they are done with the deliveries today and all the trucks are due back to the hub by 7:30 pm.

So I guess no sleep tongight. I hope someone has answers tomorrow.

All you need to do is call teh company taht sold you the itme and tell them you have not gotten it yet. If they give you the run aroudn call your credit card comapny and stop payment and tell them you never signed for the package. That is all the credit card comapny needs to reverse payment.

or if they are there they don't know what the heck is going on. the whole company is like that.
