I called several times only to be told Angie is on her other line. I told the rep. I would hold as I am dialing in on their 800 number. Special T Travel pays the bill when you call in on this number. I GOT THROUGH FINALLY. Keep calling and run their bill up. If you live in the area I suggest you go to small claims court. Do not expect to receive your money back any other way. Consumer services of america and then they call & hard sell you into spending more $ for a trip.

I would suggest you contact your bank and tell them your card was lost or stolen. These individuals would not be able to charge on this card account number.

Sold bad program / never got money back

All I can do is sympathize, and provide yet one more account in the hopes that it scares other people away from using this company. I don't want this to be too long, so here are just the facts: 1) I got a call from these folks, and a travel package was described to me that sounded good, so I bought it. 2) When the package came in the mail, it did not have all the destinations included which I'd been promised (and none of the ones I was actually interested in). I called them up, got instructions, and returned the package. 3) I never received a (requested) confirmation that they'd received the package, but when I called them back weeks later to ask what was up with it, they said it can take up to 30 days for the money to be refunded. 4) Waiting that long (funny though that they wait all of one minute to TAKE your money!), I called them back again to ask why nothing had been returned yet. They didn't know, but would call "accounting" and have the money sent. I would see it in a few days, they said. 5) Surprise, the money did not arrive. Repeat step 4. 6) Surprise, the money did not arrive. Repeat step 5. As of this writing, I have not received a refund. And, since it has been so long, it is unlikely that VISA will honor such a dispute (which is maybe why they delay so long... so that you don't have any choice). TAKEAWAY: Do not do any business with these people. They are not honorable, are not always even reachable (and the "manager" never is). Just save yourself the annoyance and money. The Better Business Bureau gives them an "F" rating. ---------- P.S.--- I do not work for some competing travel firm, and am not writing this out of any personal motivation other than pure pissed-off-edness, the simple desire to warn people off of them, and for a little more justice in the world.

DON'T PURCHASE

On April 18,2013 I purchased a package via the phone. When I received the package it was not what I had been led to believe. The funds were taken from my MasterCard within 4 days. I immediately returned the package as I was instructed to do. I have had it verified to me by at least 9 different service reps that yes the package was received by special T Travel on May 18 2013 and yet 4 months later after numerous e-mails and 10 phone calls I am still without a refund. Each time I am tole that they will forward my request to accounting. I don't believe there is an accounting departmen.THIS COMPANY IS A DISGRACE........ Jody Hutt

Scram and Fraud

They are located at 5050 S. Hwy.17-92 Suite 101, Casselberry, FL 32707. Their customer service people are Christina, Jeanette, and Nick. The Customer Service Principal is Angela Nemiro, Mr. J. Doug Fields is the President, and Ms. Traci Fields is the Vice President. Headquarters phone number is 1-87*-395-**** Ext. 123. I was called by Special-T Travel on March 1, 2013, to purchase a vacation package for $299.00. Totally refundable within 30 Days. I thought that I was speaking to Specialty Travel of Florida, which I have done business with before. After talking it over with my husband, we decided to cancel the package. I talked to their customer service department, and was informed that I had to cancel with a written e-mail. So I sent them an e-mail on March 14, 2013. I called a few days later and was told that I would be refunded my money within 30 days. I called again a few days before the 30 days was up to see if my refund was being processed. I was told that I should receive my refund any day now. Monday, April 15,2013, I called again to see why I had not received my refund. I was told that the accounting department was a couple days behind and I should receive my refund in a couple of days. (They had 30 days to refund it, but they need more time, right.) I knew something was really wrong. I called back and wanted to talk to a supervisor, which customer service gave me, Angie's voice mail. They did not know Angie's last name, their boss. I left Angie two voice mails, two different times and have still not received a call back. I have talked to my bank and they are taking care of the situation. This company needs to be closed down. BBB gives this company an F rating. Very bad comments have been made about this company on Google. The State of Florida, should do something to keep companies from using other businesses names for a profit, such as Special-T and Specialty Travel, which happens to be a good company. Bad business practice

Followed company process to get refund from Special T Travel after receiving a package from them that was NOT what I was told on the phone when I purchased. Company took my money out of my bank acct. even before I got off inital phone call. It has been 2 months and multiple phone calls, no refund! Just spoke with Angie today in customer service and received more excuses why they have been unable to process my refund and was told flat out by her that she has no idea when I would receive my refund , and that I have no other option ,no one else to talk to. WIll just have to wait.

I booked Florida vacation canceled in less than 30 days , 2years no refund yet!

I booked a vacation in Florida with Special T Travel 2 years ago. Within 2 weeks I suffered a health set-back and wound up needing to use oxygen 24/7 . This put an instant shut-off to travel. The amount of equipment I require does not allow me to go on a trip that gives me 3 daYs in each of 3 places. I called and also wrote a special letter canceling the trip in writing. For a long time I would call often speaking with Christina, Jeanette, Nick , I was always assured the refund was forth coming. Never Happened! Now they have turned it over to a company that calls you about the vacation you paid for and never used.? What is that all about? They are a fraud? Florida's Attorney General should wipe them out.

You have to be your own advocate. Badger them yourself.

Call daily. The BBB and State of Florida are a joke. BBB lists them as F . The State of Florida has so so many complaints they just acknowledge but comment but are NO benefit or use.These scam artists know this so have a open free greenlight to continue.

Call them daily disrupe them or go visit them.

You have to be your own champion as no one else helps! :( :(

Scam no refunds, crooks.

I paid 138.00 to special T travel and looked over the agreement, I was told I could cancel no questions asked and get my money back, I've been calling every week and no refund yet. I get the same excuse's and another week goes by. what a scam there should be a law to what they don't do or promise. These people have no heart how would they like it done to them. please don't ever even think of getting a vacation package from SPECIALITY TRAVEL they will rip you off beware of phone calls or transactions done over the phone. I'm not done yet I will hand this problem over to NBC and let them investigate them and exploit them on national television.

NO REFUNDS GIVEN !

I purchased their travel package in December of 2012, but decided to return the package for the refund offered on the phone. I sent it back within the allotted time frame, and even sent it with a "return receipt requested" so they wouldn't be able to say they never received it. It is now July, and I have called them every month. Every month they gave me a story that the refund was being worked on. When I called today though, I continuously received a busy signal. Maybe they have gone out of business. I am convinced I will NEVER get my money back!

I AM SO FREAKING PISSED RIGHT NOW SO WHAT BETTER FORUM TO SHARE MY HORROR STORY WITH. I WAS CHARGED 1198 DOLLARS FROM SPECIAL T TRAVEL BECAUSE OF SOME *** TRIP I NEVER TOOK. THEY TOLD ME IF I DID NOT TRAVEL I WOULD LOSE THE 298 DOLLARS I PAID. THEY NEVER TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY *** NEAR 1200 DOLLARS AND NOW I AM OUT ALL OF THIS MONEY FOR NOTHING. MY BANK GAVE ME MY MONEY BACK AT FIRST WHEN I DISPUTED IT BUT EVIDENTLY THE COMPANY WAS ABLE TO PROVE THEIR CLAIM BECAUSE I RECEIVED A LETTER SAYING THE FUNDS WOULD BE PAID TO SPECIAL T TRAVEL AND THEY HAD PROOF I AGREED. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL BRANCH AS INSTRUCTED AND THEY WON'T PLAY ME THE TAPE BUT CLAIM IT DOES IN FACT HAVE ME AGREEING. 2007 That's along time I agree with the other comments that you must act fast and usually in less than 90 or the 30days mentioned and document all concern.

Good luck if you are fighting this over 6 years! Probably a little late and too long to still be pissed. Thanks for posting it IT AMAZES ME that these phone solicitated travel agencies can play their game without any concern. Isaw the Special T Travel has an address.

I would go visit them and talk to them in person. Maybe a protest would be in order.

After 7 years I don't think even wasting money on an Attorney would help at this point. Deal with only good travel companies you can visit.

You are correct there is little help but yourself. The guys doing this have been in the game 10 years and know the loop holes LIMITATIONS and some are even attorneys.

Don't give your credit card to anyone and if it sounds too good it probably is. People mention CSA and Travel Services but give unlisted numbers and no corp name or website so I would be cautious. Please ask your attorney about Travel Service that some promotE UNDER a unlisted number.. see what he says and let us know.

Some credit card companies will assist in first 90 days but if you give the info and cc# and agree on tape its a hard nut to crack. Unfortunately the only clause I see is you must act fast. If you smell a rat or see many bad BBB complaints there is probably much smoke and a fire. So don't run but under Florida Law and in many States that have travel company and timeshare issues there is a 30 day cancellation fl section 559.927 that allows a customer cancellation but this must be done in the first 30 days and in writing to the Owner or counsel of company to Corporate office and I would send it registered or certified USPS Mail for your records.

Don't do this through the sales office but direct to the officers of the company.

Paints a pretty picture, puts you in a ghetto

I booked my honemoon to Cancun with Special-T-Travel. The place they booked us, called the Aquamarina Hotel was a dump. It was old, smelly, the food was not great to say the least. It was called a resort. There is not much to do there at all. There is no refridgerator, microwave or coffee makers in the room. The place is in the middle of a ghetto. When I asked where I could get a cup of coffee early the next morning, I was told I would have to wait until the cafe opened or walk across the street!! We moved out the next day to a real resort! When I got home I tried to contact Special-T-Travel to get reimbursed for the days we didn't stay. I was told to fax a complaint to their compliance dept. I did. I was told someone would contact me. They haven't!!! It's been a month. Everytime I call, I am told to talk to Angie. I get put through to her voicemail, and NEVER get a response! Don't trust these people!! If you are using a travel agency, my recommendation is talk to someone local that you can see face -to-face!!

AMEN is right! Angie is a primary owner that puts the money in the bank so why would she want to talk to you!

STAY CLEAR of these folks and you MAY enjoy a real vacation. If it sounds too good to be true it is! I agree completely deal FACE to FACE or talk to a friend that has already been there. I have read and believe that the BBB which rates them as a F rating also have them pegged.

WAY TOO MANY COMPLAINTS Read all these complaints out and check the other searches under Google too.

Good people would not take their time to agree on SCAMS if there was nothing to it! Don't talk to them put your concerns in writing!!

Promise of 30 Days to Change Mind on Vacation Package

I was called about three weeks ago and strongly encourage to buy a vacation package to Orlando and Daytona with a $500. cashcard. I told them I was 80 and my husband was 84, and we didn't travel much anymore. The salesman insisted we examine the package, and we would have 30 days to decide. He took my credit card number. Because of more recent health problems, I called to cancel. I was told to send a fax with reasons why I would need to cancel which I did. It's not been taken off my credit card, and I can't get hold of them on the phone. I was very careful to get their assurance that I could change my mind. We never received a package.

I too Read many complaints from customers so suggest you do like I did with my issues and go visit them and talk to Ms Angie and her coworkers at Special T Travel. Their address is on the website @ Special T Travel Service Inc. 5050 S US Hwy 17/92 Suite 101 Casselberry, FL 32707 USA and Google Map helps you there as easy to reach location. Also check the info on the company registered in State of Florida. 11/3/2013 I purchased a travel package deal for $298 from this company . A week later I cancelled because my husband already had planned for the summer and he said this is too good to be true. It may be a scam. I called to cancel and the representative told me to call back a week later to check on the status. I called 2 weeks later to give the company more time. It was not done so the representative apologized and told me she will take care right away and call back in a week to check on status. I called 2 weeks later and it was not done. The representative apologized again and told me she will take care right away and call back in a week to check on status. By this time I know to take down the name of the representative. Her name is XXXX. I informed her this is the 3rd time I called. Then I make note of the date I called. The fourth time I called was on 3/18/2013. XXXX told me to check back on 3/22/13. I called today for the fifth time ON 4/16/13 and spoke with XXXX again. She apologized again and promised will take care of it. I think this reflect very negatively on company's customer service. I left a message with the manager,xxx, this morning. Imagine if I don’t follow up on this issue, I will never get reimburse for this amount.

No Refund

In Oct. 2012 Iagreed to REVIEW a so-called pre-paid travel package theat some other party had paid for. They billed $298 on my credit card but guaranteed a refund -no questions asked.. After review, I decided that this was not a package I would use and sent it back within the 30 day examination period. As of today, I haven't received my refund. I have repeatedly called and been assured that the refund was in progress. Their excuse was that their accounting department was behind their workload. Now they continue to direct my phone calls to voice mail. This company is a total sham and must be in financial trouble because they cannot even refund $298.

Don't think you can beat them unless you play hard! They all have been doing this for years of immunity from the State of FL and other organizations.

They know the law and their rights! If you elect the 30 day grace period make sure you document it and read the terms and conditions on their websites "fine print" that states you must respond in writing to the Chief Counsel. Put you request in documented writing and mail registered or Certified mail as phone won't be documented. they count on that.

They are not in trouble as they play the game ..know the boundaries and win more than lose so cash flow is still positive. File complaints as others have written as know one will help you but yourself. Take this allserious if you want your $ back as they DO NOT care about YOU the customer. That's what scams are all about.

WIN and just stay under the bar of the law.

They don't care about your threats or the %%@& hitting the fan and thats why their accounting department does not have time! They bank on only depositing Accounts Received WARNED so take the BULL8&#$ by the horns or be gored!

I was assured over and over that I would only be charged $198.00 (which as of today had been charged to my account) and I could receive a refund with no problems within 30 days. After reading all of this...We'll see about that.

If I receive any other charge on my account....***'s gonna hit the fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just received a letter from my credit card company today informing me that my dispute was denied because Special T Travel was able to provide their claim. I have no idea what they are talking about and have yet to hear the tape. They refuse to play it for me. I have contacted everyone imaginable and they won't help me. I don't know what to do. They charged me almost 1200 dollars and I have nothing to show for it. I have read posts about companies being able to help before hand...Why wasn't I ever contacted. Learn from my mistake

Special T Travel telemarketed me in August of 2012. I paid 198 dollars for six nights in FL. The agent indicated that no presentations were required and it wasn't part of a timeshare deal. The travel agency had a promotion on lodging. When I received the package, I found that such presentations were required, and immediately canceled the package and was told a refund would be immediate. I have called six times, and have yet to see the refund. I have emailed and they have acknowledged the email. Each time it is referred to their accounting department with no action. Ron Phillips
