I chose the $30/month option because it was the only option where you could use multiple locations. I had googled all the locations and found one close to home, and one close to work. My membership also came with access to tanning and the fitness room. My membership card didn't work for tanning and the fitness room for about a week and a half. Snap Fitness - Overcharged me hundreds of dollars for them not being able to process a payment.

I am currently a college student, so I don't live at home, and can only make it home every few months, so when I was checking my bank statements from the last few months I finally got from home I was shocked to see I had been charged WAY more than I had agreed to. I was publicly humiliated by the Manager and another employee today at the Snap Fitness in Hayward, WI. I placed a wet training vest down on a chair next to the cubbys at the entrance of the gym. Horrible manager who was rude and consending about cancelling my family membership. She harassed my daughter and wanted a written cancellation. Obviously she is well educated since she is 300 lbs and works in a half *** gym. Additionally the equipment is horrible and nasty, the same machines broken for months and no AED on site. The two young ladys that work the front desk are very rude and will talk to you in a condescending manner. They don't understand that the consumer runs the business because we choose how to spend our money as soon as we are treated porrly we will shop somewhere else. They feel as if they own the consumer. My son signed up with the Tinton Falls facility in mid-Sept. By Nov they had closed down. They charged him (a minor) a large initiation fee and not only did not reimburse it (prorata), they tried to bill for a month they were closed. I had my credit card company reject it. I called and wrote both the local operator and HQ several times and they did not even have the decency to return my call.... Read more

I had been told to call before the 25th of the month to cancel or put the membership on hold. I called 3 different times and whole amount was still being deducted from my account. The snap location I was a member of closed down overnight, left a note on the door that memberships would be honored at another local gym. There was no warning for paid in full members like myself and when sent to the new gym it was completely opposite of where I feel comfortable working out. I went to cancel my membership with SNAP Fitness in Ashland OR, and the guy told me that it was better to freeze it to avoid charges when I decided to come back. I agreed because he said that in order to charge me again, I will have to come back and authorize.
