In June 2013, Safe Home Security acquired another home security company (LongHall) that I had used but I had canceled my contract with due to poor service in April 2013. The agreement by Long Hall was that they would discontinue service as of April 2013 but we would have to pay for the entire quarter which ended in June 2013 and that is what we reluctantly did. To whom this may concern: I was told after 7th of service from safe home I could not get an upgrade, and decided to go with another company for said reason. I called Safe Home at that the time before deciding, to see how to proceed with cancelation. This company has been screwing us for 60 days and we have 34 months to go before they are through screwing us but I hope by writing this review to save someone else the same problem. The alarm they monitor doesn't work. They won't fix it. They won't respond to phone calls. They argue with us every time we call. Technician came first for just a simple signal check and messed up everything. Stayed for about 2 hours, and said before left that all is good. He messed up something on the panel that caused the defect that when you went to arm the system to away, it went directly to the siren noise, the noise that it makes when alarm goes off. This company is the worst I have ever experienced. I'm in the process of suing them for their deceptive predatory practices. My alarm has not worked for over 5 months. I have called 25 times, and arranged 5 different service appointments. They showed up one time and said "they didn't know how to fix the system". What a bunch of BS! Safe bought my contract from Pinnacle, and when my contract was up, they never notified me. Apparently, in order to cancel you must know the date your contract is up and submit a notice in writing 15 days before that day, that states that you wish to cancel your service. If you don't make it on time, they auto renew your contract and you have to pay the remaining balance to get out of it. I... Read more

I signed a contract with a home security company. I lost my job so decided to downsize and sold my home. I called the company and they told me if I wanted to cancel that I had to provide a 60 day written notification and fax settlement documents from closing to prove that I moved. I've been a customer with Safe Home security for years. So when moving I had plan to transfer the account. When calling to do so, they wanted to charge $200 to transfer the account even though they stated before they can transfer for free. I have had several problems with this system and every time I schedule a service call, I have had to take time off work and the technician does not show up.
