After being told we had to upgrade the exterior of the home because the houses to the left and right already picked what we wanted we drove by to see that our house was finished this week with the wrong color scheme and roofing tiles. The sales rep came out and has basically said she thinks that it is too late, "so sorry". While the issue is still not resolved I'm not holding out on hope, feel pretty scammed and would recommend to anyone thinking about purchasing new construction from Ryland homes to think long and hard before putting a dollar down.

It is very possible that Ryland put up the wrong exterior! You can't sue Ryland because they have binding arbitration clauses in their contract!

We built a home with Ryland and then backed away from the deal. losing our earnest money because the home was very poor quality. While the home was being built, they installed the wrong cabinets, wrong backsplash and painted the interior wrong. They also violated the hardwood floor warranty when they installed the hardwood floors.

We tried to get the issues resolved with the President of Ryland Austin but he really didn't care either.

We were so fed up that we decided to take our current home off the market and just stay there. At least we knew that our home wouldn't fall apart in 6 months.

Really? You are saying that your home builder simply decided for you what colors and roofing tiles you should have, contrary to your signed net effect.

That's what you are saying, huh? Let's try this again - the signed paperwork that you have in hand, is completely different from what is on the exterior of your home?

If that is the case, you have a lawsuit Sir - but that's just not the case, is it?
