Ryan homes have beautiful floor plans that draws potential buyers to purchase their homes but this company fails miserably to deliver quality work. I recently purchased a new home and wished that I did my homework and researched this tacky company before I decided to go with them. The so called imposter painters did a horrible job. They did not cut into the wall when painting. The hardwood floors... Read more

There are many builders to chose from, If you are considering building a Ryan home think again, there are no builder incentives for closing cost its best if you use your own lender and do not deal with NVR. The builder uses the most least expensive products. If you accidently touch a wall you will smudge the paint and if you take a damp cloth to wipe it you will find yourself rubbing the paint... Poor craftsmenship. Poor quality inside and out. Trim work sucks. I had to replace the windows when the house was only 7 years old. Now. I'm worried about the roof. The siding buckles in the heat. I would never recommend buying one of these homes. Plus way over priced ... I'm sure I missed some of the other *** work they did. I live in SPRING VALLEY DEVELOPMENT. 62 VANCE AVE. ID BE MORE THAN... Read more

Came home to find that the valve in my master bathroom had leaked all into the cabinet and on the floor. Called the emergency service that was given to by ryland. I called and no one could help. The next day I had checked all 3 bathrooms, come to find out they are all starting to leak and damage the cabinets but they were slow leaks. I have bought the new and only have been living in it for two... Read more

We were buying a Ryan home in Virginia at a complex called Virginia Manner and learned that we were lied to by our sales associate and the loan officer they assigned us to, you have to use their mortgage company to buy one of their homes, attempted to steal our second deposit and the mortgage rebate on our points. I spoke with the regional manager and V.P of operations who both not only did not... Read more

I have been in a Ryan home for 5 years and I have had MAJOR leaks every year - front door, bay window, roof in 4 places, etc. I've had the same leak around 2 separate windows "fixed" seven, yes seven times. It still leaks and they won't return my calls any longer and they tell me it's my problem now. If you are considering purchasing a Ryan or NVR home and you've gotten to this... Read more

Wow! I just read a post below that their windows were changed due to a wind shear rating! We were told the same thing...we live in Cecil Co & Ryan homes pulled out & didn't even finish our development. Have had some minor issues with the house, including the whole basement flooding due to the sump pump being wired wrong. This happened 7 months after we moved in. The only reason Ryan fixed it... I bought a Ryan Home near Williamsburg, Va. summer of 2006, to be built by August, 2007. They made their deadline....barely. My complaint is that to "trigger" the sale of the home, the Ryan Homes sales person told us not to build a 3 car garage because,"We have a place to park boats". It's 2011 and there certainly is no place to park boats. Other lame promises: "We will have a swimming pool... Read more
