For a brief period of time I was a proud owner of Roku 3. This is the latest model as of this writing, and is supposedly the best. It even has a remote control for your convenience, or so you think. We bought roku 3 for Christmas. It worked well for 45 days, then failed, never to work again. Have left several help messages; no response. Been on customer service several times, jumped through all the hoops; they were no help at all. I brought a new Roku 3 home after returning the Roku2XS due to problems with that device. The Roku 3 worked well for a couple of days, then started malfunctioning. After two trial and error attempts that ended badly with live chat, an hour with a support rep with a think Indian accent on a phone line with a bad connection that led to a fix that didn't last, and my last contact with phone support... Don't buy a Roku One. It is without a doubt, the biggest piece of electronic junk I have ever owned. Connects, but wont play Netflix, Plays Netflix but no sound, , play Netflix Sound, but no picture. Shows pictures, but won't stream, can't find the WI-Fi (15 feet away). Reset the device 1/2 dozen times, still wont work. We bought the Roku One for a X-mas present for our daughter. I've invested... My Roku was working fine- it is only 6 months old. Suddenly it wouldn't connect to my server. Nothing has changed. All my other wireless pieces still work/connect fine. I can stream on my computer-etc. I have spent approximately 5 hours with customer service over the course of 2-3 nights to no avail. They are nice, but in another country and reading a script. be advised that this miracle product of streaming technology requires setup with credit card info just to use it. they wont tell you this before the sale, only once you are home, connected and thinking you are about to enjoy it. I have three roku the third one roku xs remote had to be replaced it still doesn't work i have to use one of the other two not xs they acted like it shouldn't matter because i can use my other remotes they are the first two units that came out but this one the third one freezes its worthless so i would not purchase the new one until it has proven itself be roku doesn't stand behind its product ... We bought a Netgear NTV200 media player from Best Buy so we could access Netflix streaming movies from a second tv. After failing to get results after two hours, we returned the unit to Best Buy and resorted to purchase the Roku 2 XD standard media player for $30 more.
