I put a deposit down for a Italian greyhound pup. When the week came for picking up the pup Robert suddenly wouldn't respond to my call/emails. I had a 3 hour drive so I needed to know what time on Saturday I could pick her up. Wasn't until Thursday did he finally email me back telling me that do to severe weather he lost power and was snowed in. ( storm happened Wednesday evening I started trying to contact him Monday) I replied okay stay safe and warm and let me know when I can get the pup. Saturday ( day we had planned all along for the pick up) went by.. Then Sunday and I then sent him a email asking him to just please send me back my deposit since he wasn't keeping his end of the deal. He replied right away and said okay he would send it as soon as he could get into town. Weeks went buy and I never received my money back. Called police. They are a blessing! They have also now been in contact with Robert. Robert also told them he would send my money back. I never received it. The police are now pursuing a case against him.

As for Puppyfind I posted a negative review on Roberts add. I told Puppyfind all the facts and told them I would be happy to give them the information on the Case. Robert disputed my review and Puppyfind took it off. So yes Puppyfind is not a safe sight to buy pups. many scammers! Puppyfind doesn't care they are all about their money.

I forgot to add one more thing to my Five Star experience comment on Bob below: There were times while we were waiting for the puppy to come of age before we could pick her up, I tried to contact him and was having a hard time reaching him. Turned out it was because he volunteers for the local animal shelter, and they depend on him with births of puppies that are waiting for new homes.

He also was being called on many times to help farmers with their animals during the times I was trying to contact him, he spent much time with a farmer who's horse needed rehabilitated, (which he volunteered his time for.) By the time we did get to speak, he took care of us as caringly as he does the other animals which he helps bring into the world.

I'll never forget, when the time finally came for us to pick up the puppy, he took about an hour explaining to us how to understand the dog, and keep it healthy. Then, he picked up the puppy, wrapped it in her favorite blanket she 'adopted' as her own, told me to please take the blanket so she feels comfortable with the change of homes.

Next, he hugged the puppy, (tears were on his cheeks), gave her a kiss, said goodbye, and he handed me the little girl. Saying 'If she ever seems unsure, or scared, just tell her "It's ok", because that is what I've done for her.' To this day that is what we say to the little girl whenever something startles her.

Well done Bob...

I bought a perfectly healthy Italian Greyhound from Bob, and couldn't be happier. Bob was great to deal with and I would certainly contact him first if I'm in line for another IG. Thanks for your postings, but I wanted to announce my five star experience with him and his very clean blood-line of IG's.

Hello,

My name is Jessica and I am one of the Relations Managers at PuppyFind.com. Please understand that when someone posts a review about a Breeder on the site, breeders have the ability to dispute the review.

Disputed Reviews are automatically hidden during the dispute process. If the review is a simple statement like "your puppies are ugly" or some other opinion of the like, PuppyFind.com will allow the statement to be deleted as that is not a review of one's experience purchasing a puppy from that particular breeder. If the individual posts a review of their actual experience PuppyFind.com staff will send out a request to both the Buyer and the Breeder requesting supporting documentation. If the Buyer refuses to provide the documentation (which could be emailed communication, copy of the vet report, copy of the contract, etc) or ignore the request for additional information the review will remain off the site.

If the Buyer provides documentation that supports their review of the breeder we absolutely reinstate the review and the Breeder is not able to delete the review from the site.

To some Buyers this process seems unfair. However, we work very hard to treat everyone fairly. There have been many cases where untrue statements have been made in order to hurt the reputation of a breeder on the site simply because there was an ongoing dispute between two individuals.

Additionally, we have banned breeders from the site based on negative reviews being received. We do use the reviews as a way to gauge a breeder's ability to continue to utilize the site.

Since PuppyFind.com is not involved in the purchase of any puppy on the site, we are not privy to the communications and/or agreements that have been made. We must rely on documentation that is provided.

Thank you for your comments and if you have specific questions about your own experience, please do not hesitate to contact Customer Support.

Meanwhile hundreds of dogs are being put to sleep because they have been over bred and are now in shelters....while people spend big bucks on designer dogs....shame on you, go and adopt save a dog, don't buy a dog
