System faults and failures let me to cancel and received talk down pressure to stay. Also will not be reimbursed for 2 months of prepayment. Robbed! Have had multiple false alarm issues with the Protection1 system. I've had to provide my key and pass code to neighbors to come in my house while I'm gone and have them shut the system down. To start off when the Technician installed the equipment I lost light in my dining room and back porch, which 5 months later still has yet to be fixed , then their billing department over changed my account the first month, and then 2 more months they took money out of my bank account twice each month, and took them almost 30 days the first time to get that extra money put back, and the second... The sales person who sold us protection one told us he would pay our remaining balance to vivint if we would switch to protection one. got a new front door installed ( had to remove and got thrown away old hardware) protection one will not come out and reinstall new hardware to front door because I will not purchase monthly monitoring service from them.. Its just something they cannot do... I am only putting the cost of the front door for value of loss but if the house is broken into , they are the ones who are to be judged on... Read more

We called Protection One to cancel our contract after a year because our company moved. They initially said okay. Then they said there would be an early termination fee, I asked how much. Protection One is raising the monthly rate again on their monitoring, they say they held off as long as possible, but it seems like they are always raising the rates. True, they have always provided quality service, but I'm tired of them raising the rates. It may be time to look around and see if there is a better price. Due to faulty installation, the alarm was triggered and P1 called to ask if I wanted the police sent. I asked two basic questions which the P1 person could not answer. I was not home so had the police sent. It turns out the installer did not properly close a window. I received an invoice from the police which P1 would not pay. I signed a contract for 3years and their system start creating problem after 2 months..after that it was a normal routine for problem and they keep mentioning that everything is fine.
