I had to unfortunate experience to choose you as my alarm company to protect my house. Out of the 2.5 years of service, I have had 3 false alarms in early morning hours when I have been out of town, leaving my wife and my young child home alone to deal with these scary incidences by themselves, all for your faulty equipment. This company has been disaster from day one. I ordered a home security system and unfortunately I never received the product. FedEx stated that it was delivered with no accountability or signature; however after an investigation was launched the package was deemed lost. We have 2 systems from Protect America one for our home and one for our cabin. We have repeated failures at our cabin and sometimes we can't set it at all. We were told most problems were corrected in 5 minutes every problem has been more then 30 minutes. Our last call just ended at 58 minutes and 49 seconds with no resolution other then equipment failure and they will send a new panel. Which... Read more

The equipment has failed repeatedly (including one case in which the police were dispatched to my apartment, because NYPD really have time for that). I tried to cancel my account and was told I signed a 3 year contract, so I asked them to mail me the contract. When I received it, I saw that my signature is no where on the contract. On 5 June 2013 I sent back to Protect America all the stuff they sent me. On 3 July 2013 they deducted 29.99 from my account and on 5 August 2013 they deducted another 29.99 from my account. On 5 July I talked to someone it Protect America and they stated that I would get a refund. I called Protect America this evening around 5:30 to get my service installed. After some initial work the associate said he would call back once I got my sensors set up - about 20 minutes. He never called back. After at least an hour, I called and the install center was closed for the day. Good service would have said we will close at xxxx time so we may not be likely to complete your install... Read more

This company is an absolute fraud. I was told that if its equipment did not work, I could return it for a full refund. After receiving two separate shipments and spending hours in a futile effort to make its equipment work, I was told to return the equipment for a full refund. I had ADT for three years with no problems. But I wanted to upgrade to a system that can be controlled by phone. My 3-year contract with ADT had expired. So I was free to shop around.
