I did not know what to expect - the deal was, pay them $1500 and they would look for a year or so. They did almost nothing. My own profession involves investigation. I understand how you have to follow more than one line of inquiry. Omnitrace had one trick up their sleeve - they tried it and it was a dead end. I had to flog them to get them to do anything. The "Investigator" assigned to my case... Read more

This person sent me an e-mail for in regards to an inquiry. I couldn't believe the rudeness of the e-mail. I contacted her to actually ask her why she could send someone such a rude e-mail. During the conversation she convinced me to sign up for their company. I agreed. Within 2 hour of the transaction going through my account I discovered the other's from a support group I belong to have... Read more

I applaud the times OmniTrace worked for those searching. For me, they did not. In 2007, I contracted their services and, as required, I instigated search status requests every few months. At one point, I received an e-mail stating the case was closed with unsuccessful results. I noted at the time that the letter said "we searched through Nassau county" but I didn't think anything of it, even... Read more

Our family was contacted, thru Homes of St Mark, by a person claiming to be adopted son of my now-deceased sister. His adoption was supposedly "sealed". I was suspicious as to how this Lynch person could find our family name. Ater a surprise DNA cheek-swab and test, it turns out my "nephew" is not related to us. Do not trust OMNITRACE. Scam! The entire ADOPTION INDUSTRY is CORRUPT. They prey... Read more

I spent $1500 with Omnitrace in 2009 with the understanding that they would update me every 6 months on the search progress looking for my bio-parents. I never heard from them once. I called a few times, but they had no updates and seemed very disorganized. After a long lapse and thinking that it was time to follow up myself, I received a letter today informing that they were unsuccessful have... Read more

Kevin Lynch and Omnitrace did a great job with my adoption search. In 9 months they were able to find everything I could have hoped for. I'm so glad I hired them. They were successful through good old fashioned detective work which was absolutely incredible. Great work! I would not hesitate to hire them again. They said it could take up to two years to find my birth parents, and they did it... Read more

I paid a sizable amount of money and gave a great deal of background information I obtained from the adoption agency I was adopted through to this company, doing most of the leg work for them. I requested information on my birth mother, NOT FATHER, as he raped my mother. I had her last name, the area she went to college etc. Every few months I checked back and no head way was made. Then, I was... Read more

I placed a daughter for adoption in Plattsburgh, NY in 1968. I have been trying to locate her for many years. In Jan 2010 I contracted Omnitrace to try to find her and they said it may take 6 months and to check back for status as they are too busy. We followed up every 6 weeks and about a year later I called and was told "we have no luck, sometimes we find people and sometimes we don't". Finally... Read more
