I was making a payment on the phone with a payment arrangement I had set up. I told the girl I was paying the budget amount and that in 2 weeks was paying in the overdue balance payment amount. a *** job for the most part, it was a call center. They were paid per call and if it took multiple calls to solve issues the more money they made. I showed my "manger "K" (can't say his name" about wrong info customers received and he did not care")Your best bet is to call customer service which has REAL NATIONAL GRID EMPLOYESS". The National Grid Monopoly is why we should have competition in Long Island. Waiting two weeks to get service started and they dont even show up or call. When I reschedule I have to wait another 2 weeks!!! CAnt believe they are still in play. I have a small in home business. National Grid has changed our service to commercial and did so 4 years ago without any notice. I was calling to reconnect my gas line and they kept asking me for my social security, my passport, my drivers license, proof of address, and they were very rude to me as if i was a slave, no respect. I need desperately to get into this website to view / pay my bill. THIS WEBSITE IS NON-FUNCTIONING! A company so large with a web staff so small, and ill-equipped is not acceptable! This morning a National Grid tech came to unlock my gas service. It had been shut off due to non payment. I recently had a water heater installed and he refused to connect the gas to it because it was installed incorrectly. That's fine. In fact, great! Safety first. My wife n i have two lil grls n we were making big payments one mth $300 n two weeks aftr we paid another $100 they came by few days later n shut our freakin gas off cuz we didnt CALL there *** to make payment arrangements wtf even though we were makin good size payments anyway IT DONT MATTER they said they need to speak W you no matter what so they forced us to borrow $400 to get it turned back... I just moved into my new apartment on 4/22/13 and called National Grid a week prior to have service turned on for this date. They charge 68 cents per therm for natural gas while national grid only charges 51 cents per therm! Even if my family tries to save gas /heat at home we still have to pay way higher than we hoped for for saving energy! Constellation is not a good company.
