I have had a Mutual of Omaha Cancer Policy since 2005. In the past year and a half I have been diagnosed with breast cancer, first on one side and then 6 months later on the other side.

The cancer insurance I pay $200 for each year, only paid $800 total for the first side that included biopsies, lumpectomy, and radiation. Now I am onto my second round of radiation after having biopsies and a lumpectomy, mind you for the other breast, and they don't want to pay. As if having breast cancer is only supposed to happen to a person once. They have the worst customer service and won't explain anything.

I have had to submit all doctors statements and coded paperwork on 3 occasions. I would recommend that everyone steer clear of anything having to do with Mutual of Omaha insurance.

update from post 9/21 I sent letter to Texas department of insurance consumer protection. mutual of omaha th did give me a call and and told me the two people I talk to before should not have told me what they did and they would be mailing policy did get a little check in mail still no policy they want to know when im going to cash checks so what are they hiding has anyone have anything they would like to add that may help I will keep this update will try to call them both wedneday see what happens

My husband has been paying for a burial life insurance policy, because of current circumstances we canceled policy, children said we do not need they will take care of it. we canceled on April1, told we wouldd have reimbursement check by April 15, so far on 21 have not received we have been promised two different dates that never happened.

In the first place why are they using such an outdated method to send refund.

I canceled with another company, this was on myself, and the refund was in bank account in three days. I wander how they would have given us the money if he had died, will never recommend them.

my mother passed away 7/4/2019 cancer they are not very helpful at all give little info at a time I ask for a copy of the policy they told me they would mail it could take 6 months last time talk to them now they are telling me they can not send it because she passed away still not sure what they should pay are not pay i will never ever get one of theses

Hmmmm. I currently am getting their mailings with an application.

Sorry about your cancer...and yet, thanks a million for educating the masses on this bogus, fraudulent business scam. I grew up watching and loving Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom.

Now this modern corporate giant and beast appears to have become a very nasty and aggressive abuser of the sick, poor, and elderly in America. Shame on them!

i pay mutual of omaha $132. a yr for cancer insurance..recently i had a colonoscopy and expected my insurance to cover it...they told me they would only pay $60.of the $100.charge and i am wondering if i should cancel my policy and pocket the $132. which would have paid my colonoscopy expense..i was under the impression that they would pay the whole cost,but i guess the older you get they less they will pay..

I received an application and decided to move forward with Mutual of Omaha's Cancer Insurance - - - - until I read these reviews!!!! I just shredded the check and application.

Shame on MOO for deadbeat cancer insurance!!!

This is highly reprehensible. I will never buy a product from them in the future.
