I switched my mobile service provider a few months ago. I was influence by the '40 per month period' tagline. When I am not using Wi-Fi I do not have access to the internet. I recently purchased this phone and service from Metropcs and specifically to make International calls. The agent assured me that I can do so . I work next door to a Metro Pcs store ,I have been a customer for years with the same number paying 54.00 a month.I was told that they activate Iphones so i buy one used ,I cant afford the Iphone 5 so i get the 4s.They tell me that they only activate the 5c. I just spent $200.00 on a new phone on the GSM side of Metro and it is terrible. No 4g at all, spotty 3g and often only 2g service. No one at Metro seems to care, just the same tired scripts read. I have been with metro pcs for years.I have the S3 4G LTE on the $40 plan. I payed my bill on time, to be honest a head of time. I never had any major issues with them up until 12/30/13. I signed up during a promotion advertising $100 in rebates: $50 was automatic upon sign-up, and the remaining $50 was a mail-in rebate.
