4 days before I needed to have my policy renewed, I called in to remove 1 car and replace it with another FOR THE NEW POLICY. The made the change immediately and charged me a little over $65 claiming it was a mid term policy change. My parked car was hit by another driver in an open parking lot the other driver was clearly at fault. My car was burglarized in Albuquerque, New Mexico while moving from California. Car was with the movers at a Best Western Hotel parking lot. My loss was more than $3400.00. They will not cancel in a timely manner, then the policy auto renews which was a surprise and they nail you with more fees and cancellation charges, dragging it out as long as possible and giving you a different story each time. Tried to file a claim for storm damage to roof.Even had pictures with date that storm hit. Mercury sent their roofer to inspect. He said you have some wind and hail damage but not enough. Is this *** suppose to help or just take money from you. Last year, some lady without a California license was talking on the phone opened her car door(driver seat), but she was parked on the side. Notified Mercury within 15 minutes of accident. Took 2 supervisors to get a tow truck dispatched 3 hours later they sent a tow truck that could fit in the bed of my one ton wrecked Chevy. Mecury Insurance took money from my escrow account 10 days after they received notification that I was cancelling my policy. When I called, they said my notification was being processed by their cancellation department when the renewal bill was sent to my bank. They said they couldn't reverse the charge so I would have wait for them to issue me a check. Still waiting. If someone had taken... Read more

I was really pleased with how Mercury handled my accident recently. Someone rearended me while at a red light. Mercury talked to their insurance company, set up a repair place near me, paid for my rental car and I was back on the road pretty quickly. Obviously, it helps to have sufficient coverage, regardless of what company you're with, but they had good customer service and were quick... Read more

yes i cancel my ins. on 12/19/11 n now u send me a bill for renewal,saying u did not receive an e-mail, so that's tell me that u just don't want to send me a refund . that's mercury ins. n not i try so send an e-mail n they will not receive my e-mail. well i don't have much to say ,but i feel that they are very affair to the consumer n ready to rip them off at all cost n people...
