Huh? At the get go about a year ago i did experience quick call times and helpful people. The people are always helpful and nice. That's not the issue. God help you if you ever have to call on a Monday. I called with the simplest issue and was on hold for 20 minutes and then asked to call back another day when it's less busy. Medtronic, this is not legendary by a long shot. I am now traumatized... Read more

I just recently received my first insulin pump from Medtronic. I went with the Minimed 530G with Enlite. Prior to purchasing the pump, sensors, and supplies, I was quoted a total out of pocket cost of less than 700.00. Now these JERKS are billing me for more than 1150.00 and there may be more before it's all said and done. I have all of this in writing and Medtronic is basically trying to... Read more

I needed an insulin pump due to out of control diabetes and increasing additional health problems associated with Diabetes and increased blood glucose. I researched several companies and had Medtronic quote me that my ongoing supplies would be 156.00 per every 3 months. They refuse to do anything for me, they treat me terribly, they fight with my insurance, impossible for my doctor to get a hold of them. I can't log on to their website to manage my billing, trainging, emailling, and their phone service cannot help me. AVOID MINIMED! Takes weeks to get supplies quite often. Called in my usual insulin pump supply order. After not receiving my order 2 weeks later, called Medtronic and was advised I needed a new prescription, they also said they had faxed an RX request to my doctor. Whenever I call its a long wait on hold (20 min tonight) followed by a whole laundry list of questions that have no relevance to what I need to know or called about. I feel like I am the one providing "assistance" to their database, statistics and lawyers. Getting around to actually being able to ask my question can take 10 minutes or more depending on how many lists they need to read down. I get... Read more

As a former employee for Medtronic, I have witnessed many illegal activities and have been instructed by Management to shred documents. I only did it because of the threat of losing my job at the time, Also very unsafe working conditions and they only address this issue with saying we'll look into it or I'll back to you. Ordered my insulin pump supplies a week and a half ago. Have been following up with Medtronic daily. After 3 days they said I needed a new authorization from my Doctor and had just sent it. Followed up with my Doctor next day, no request for new authorization had been submitted. Ask them to check again. Doctor confirmed they had not received request for authorization. placed order with Medtronic's 08/14/11 was supposed to receive order 08/18/11 now they are saying they will mail order 08/31/11! I have one reservoir left,i travel with my job and only home on weekends,this is not the first time i had to wait,i have placed 2 day orders and had to wait,more money for postage and still wait?uncaring,incompetent What does it take to receive good service? don't they...
