We purchased with mayan palace and are just finding out that the vacation weeks program which are the weeks for 100 years have no profeco registration number and that the weeks are given without any cost to the buyer. The only cost seems to be for the one week for 10 years. That is not what we understood. We also were told by the salesperson that somebody would sell our other timeshare that we... Read more

Grand Mayan Riviera Maya Timeshare – Scam Right out of college (2009), I visited the Grand Mayan Riviera Maya Resort (Stayed in the Grand Mayan). On my arrival to the resort, I was lured into attending a “90 minute” presentation with incentive of free breakfast. Two days later, I attended a sales presentation. I was given a sales pitch about how the Grand Mayan Vacation Club was not really a... Read more

After my wife and I declined to buy Mayan Palace timeshare, the final round of sales and finance sold us a vacation privileges package for $3000. This happened on Oct 30, 2013. The sales people lied excessively to sell us the package. Examples below - package would allow us to stay unlimited weeks forever at Puerto Penasco Mayan Palace as long as excess inventory of rooms available. Later we... Read more

Mayan Palace promised I will rent the timeshare and make money out of it, it was the main reason of my purchased. On September 2003 our 4 weeks contract with Mayan Palace was listed for sale and rental through Vacationweeks.com the original listing price by was $5800 per week. No activity was completed by this group. The property was then moved to Timeshare Quick Sale on the spring of 2004 and... Read more

I also attended a presentation at the Cancun Mayan Palace... under pressure, I accepted to "upgrade" my timeshare, and allowed them to take 300 dlls. from my american credit card just to "reserve" the space, with the promise from them that if my son-in-law (which is co-owner of the timeshare and was not with me) did not agree to "upgrade", I would have 30 days to cancel and they would put the... Grand Mayan Riviera Maya Timeshare - Scam During our Thanksgiving break, my wife, my two children, and I planned a vacation through RCI who recommended us to the Grand Mayan Riviera Maya Resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. On our arrival at the resort, at check-in we were directed to a Ms. Dianna who lured us into going for a “90 minute” presentation with incentives such as free meals and... Read more

My mother and I have received an "offer of settlement" (viewable at this link http://tinyurl.com/k3mggkf) that would obligate us to lie about our experience with these people who have identified themselves to us as Bliss Resorts, Bliss Vacation Club, Vida Vacation Club International Sales, Grupo Vida Vacation, Mayan Resorts, Riviera Maya, et al. First, this offer purports to create a contractual... Read more

While staying at the Mayan Palace In Puerto Penasco the first week of April 2013, money was stolen from my vehicle while it was under the care of the hotel/valets. $13.00 in paper money was taken from a compartment in the dash, and $12.00 in U.S. dollar coins were taken from the arm rest in the drivers door. I know this money should not have been left by me in the vehicle and $25.00 isn't... Read more

Yes, we were caught in this trap too. When we arrived at the airport in Mexico, I had paid for a service to take us to our hotel in Cancun. On our way out, a woman grabbed my paper and directed us to a young man standing by a podium looking thing. He looked at the papers, and started talking about a free breakfast and some tee shirts. Turns out they are just appointment setters for this time... Read more
