A couple of weeks ago I was sitting at my dining room table writing checks for bills. I stood up and was putting stamps on envelopes when I became light-headed and tingly in both arms and legs, I waited a while and decided I needed to find out if I was going to have a stroke. I pushed my [Life Alert] pendant button for the first time ever. I unlocked my front door and sat in a chair. Soon, [Life Alert] responder answered and I told him what was happening—he was calm, kind, and efficient and stayed with me through the whole incident. Very soon,... Read more

I am completing this form on behalf of my mother. My five sisters and I purchased Life Alert for our mother and father for their 55th wedding anniversary last year. Mom had suffered two heart attacks. All went well until one day, January 2016, dad called and said, “Your mother’s having another heart attack!” I said, “Tell her to push the [Life Alert] button around her neck or go and hit the [Life Alert] box now! Give her nitrogen drops now!” Within seconds after hitting the [Life Alert] box, a gentleman from Life Alert was talking to mom and... Read more

My grandson, (about) 6 or 7 years old, arrived with parents a few years ago. He came right to me and said, “Here nana, you need to get this right now.” It was an ad for Life Alert!! Early February, I went downstairs to check my laundry. My house keeper had not done it for six weeks. I put my oxygen tube on the shelf in hallway because it didn’t go all the way to the laundry room. Got upset because she had washed nothing. I went back upstairs, watched T.V. and then went to bed. About 2 AM—I was in pain, shaking, and crying. I pushed my Life... Read more

Life Alert takes saving lives very seriously, and that is why we are the industry leader in personal protection. However, we also understand that life situations change for our customers and that is why Life Alert has a cancellation clause which states if the patient needs to go into a health care facility that all the family need do is to have that facility fax us a confirmation and the patient will be released from the agreement with no penalties. This clause is clearly stated in the agreement and is explained during the initial phone... Read more

All of our emergency signals are automatically time stamped and recorded. This emergency signal was answered in 31 seconds and the dispatcher was on the phone with 911 in 70 seconds. It was Life Alert who dispatched the paramedics and they were on scene within 7 minutes. The call was for a subscriber who initially was not breathing and shortly after two-way was gained, the subscriber started breathing. These times can also be verified with the Paramedics that were on the scene. Every so often, during an emergency, time gets skewed in the... Read more

Life Alert approaches each customer with a personable approach and wants to ensure we are offering the service that meets the specific customer’s needs. This is why we do not do business via email. Life Alert has designed a “no obligation” process to where all that is discussed is written up in an agreement that is sent to the customer upon order to review at their own leisure. Before the customer accepts the service, the terms and conditions are also explained by confirmation and shipping departments. We are sorry the complainant is... Read more

On January 17, 2016, around 5AM, I was on my way to the bathroom when I tripped over my cane and fell on the right side. The upper part of my body, my neck, was caught by several shoe boxes as I fell into the open area of my dressing room. I could not move or lay flat on the floor. Before I panicked I remembered I was wearing my Life Alert around my neck. I pushed the [Life Alert] and got an immediate response from Life Alert asking if I needed assistance. My cries for help were reassured that someone would be there shortly. Life Alert stayed... Read more

I’ve been sick for 19 years. I had two brain aneurysms, two strokes, broken five bones in my back and had two heart attacks. All of it took 19 years. You see, God isn’t done with me yet. I never feel alone! My daughter was out of the country for business. Her mattress is better so I decided to sleep on her bed. I didn’t realize I bumped into her cat’s water dish. It made the tile floor like an ice-skating rink. In the middle of the night, I went to the bathroom. As soon as my feet hit the floor I started to slide. I did the split and ended on... Read more

Life Alert is in the business of saving lives and we would not be in business today – or be the industry leader in personal protection – if we were untruthful or didn’t stand by our commitments and agreements. We are very sorry for the complainant’s loss of her husband, and we understand that perceptions can be skewed when one is grieving. The complainant notified us that her husband went into hospice care and she wanted to cancel our service. We released her from the contract, per our agreement to her. A week later she called back stating... Read more
