I was the one needing help. On April 25, 2016, I went out the back door and closed the door. All of a sudden, I felt my walker and me moving in the direction of the flower bed, rose bush, rock and plastic bird feeder. I couldn’t stop, broke the rose bush and feeder, hit the rock. The representative the complainant spoke with works for a separate 3rd party call center that takes brochure orders only - and is not part of Life Alert Corporation. However, we have listened to the audio call and feel that the call center rep was unprofessional in his manner towards our customer. We believe this person is a customer of another medical alert company. Our contact information is on our equipment and paperwork, so we are easy to reach and are fully staffed to assist our customers. We also did not find this person in our database, and have attempted to contact her for more information to assist but they did not respond back. Read more

The elderly are a protected class with government laws in place to prevent them from being taken advantage of, and Life Alert is under the strictest guidelines to ensure that our customer’s remain protected. We are not sure why the complainant had challenges contacting us when our direct line to corporate is posted on all of the customer’s paper work, instructional booklet, and on most of our equipment. Moreover, the complainant can press the HELP button on our system to speak with a dispatcher who will give her any department contact information she needs. The account shows that she someone did talk to her on July 4th. Read more

I fell and I didn’t realize I had pressed the [Life Alert] button on my bracelet. At the time, I had someone in the cellar replacing three of the five locks he was replacing for me.
