Lenscrafters - Lens Crafter Defective Lens

I purchased my glasses less than six months ago from a Lens Crafters and paid almost 400 for them. Within a month I noticed a strange foggy pattern that appeared on only one side of my glasses lens. I am always extremely careful with my glasses and only clean them with water and the cloth made for glasses cleaning. When the spots on the lens started to severely obstruct my vision, I took the... I woud like to say first, that i just viewed the new comercial. I am upset with the statement that our eyes are the window of the gods. This statement was thrown into the middle of many other statements about eyes. This statement tells me your are not a christian company. I am not sure how many christians are aware of this but i will tell everyone not to support your athiest company . There is... Read more

I purchased prescription lenses and designer frames (spent $600). Was told it would take 2 weeks max to get my glasses and that someone would contact me. When I called to follow up after 2 weeks, I was told the lenses came in and that some would call me later that day to tell me when I could pick them up. No one, I called again the next day and was told my lenses haven't come in yet and... Read more

Myself and my husband went to LensCrafters located at the Meriden mall trying to purchase safety glasses and lenses for my husbands work. This was all to be covered by my husbands employers account and we were treated horribly. The women whom I don't remembers name was not knowledgable about the employers account and what we would be getting or how to input it into the system. She proceeded to... Read more

We have been using Lenscrafters for 15 years and had no complaints until now. I went to get new glasses with transitional lenses. I was told after the exam by the lab manager that they could not make any kind of glasses for me because my prescription was too powerful! Mind you, Lenscrafters had no problem making glasses with my prescription in 2010. Now I was told that the computer would not... Read more

While attempting to purchase a new pair of glasses, a Lenscrafter worker took my glasses to see what type of lenses they were. She then returns with my glasses' frames broken in half. She apologized and said she would give me a temporary pair of glasses. I was pissed and very upset; my glasses cost 600 + dollars. The second pair of glasses cost 609, and I was told they could not give me a... Read more

I've done business with Lens Crafters since 1986. The doctors have been great. The quality of the glasses and the staff seems to have gone downhill. I tried the Transition lenses a few years ago. I decided to avoid any more new gimmicks after they quit working and turned an annoying shade of yellow within a year. The last time I bought Ray Ban Rx sunglasses as well. The time estimate was 3 weeks.... Read more

After cataract surgery in one eye that resulted in 20/20 vision in that eye, I took my Lenscrafter prescription sunglasses to the store I bought them in to have the left eye replaced with plain glass. I was told that I had to have both lenses replaced, at the original cost (about $300 for a pair of progressive lenses) even though 1) I only needed one lens changed and 2) one of the two lenses was... Coating on one of my lens started to peal off less than a year after they were made. Store manager told me I must have gotten a chemical on them. When I said the only thing I ever used on them was the cleaner they sold me he said there was nothing they could do. I've had transition lens from the time they first came out and only over the last few years have I had a problem with them. They sure... Read more
