I have had Kaiser for last 3 years and have suffered from abdominal pain and back pain. I have been to my primary doctor every 3 months complaining about the pain and the only solution they offer is taking Motrin. I have asked for a referral to specialist and the only answer that I get is your primary doctor has to evaluate your condition and refer you to specialist and this has been going on for... Read more

Kaiser Permanente - Disability

Kaiser is good .....until you have an issue. ESPECIALLY if you happen to need short-term or long term disability. DO NOT....I REPEAT DO NOT use them if you have any health concern that might put you in that situation! They WILL NOT complete any questionnaires from Social Security, your state (mine California), or your job. AND When they do it usually takes TWO WEEKS to get them done. ... Read more

I have suffered with major depression. I wanted to meet with a specialist weekly, but Kaiser will only allow you to meet with a specialist once a month. The meds they precribed were not helping, so after a number of months, I attempted my life. Kaiser was not there for me. They do not offer much assitance for the mentally challanged. I was fortunate and found Sharp helth care. They changed my... Read more

I've developed a hammertoe on my left foot, middle toe. So far I've seen two podiatrists at Kaiser (southern CA) and the two were as useless as teats on a boar hog. They did their best to try to dissuade me from having surgery and gave me the dumbest solution that doesn't even help. One told me he wouldn't even touch me, because I have dermatitis on my foot and for me to come back when it... Read more

Reading all these stories are makin me sick!! Jan. 25, 2010 my Granny had an emergency surgery that resulted in her death from a blockage that was so bad all her insides were to sick!!!! The whole time in there, 17 days on a NO food/liquid diet only allowed 1/4 of a Dixie cup of ice chips an hour! Who could survive on that! About a week before her death there had been an order for scans for... Read more

I was there for high fever(I checked home was 101 F) for 3 days. I got to urgent care at 12pm, was told that waiting time is about 1 hour. After I waited 1.5 hours, a nurse told me that I have 1.5 more hours to wait. 1 more hour later, when I started... Read more

I wish I could give these criminals a zero. As everyone says, Kaiser is fine if you only have routine issues (flu, stomach virus, etc), but they're HORRIBLE if you actually have a chronic condition. I have a chronic thyroid condition (graves disease) and I've been having flare-ups even though my lab results have been normal. These idiots won't even give me a referral to see ANYONE else. He said... Read more

I have a chronic thyroid condition (Graves disease) and I've been having flare-ups even though my lab results have been normal for a couple of years. These idiots won't even give me a referral to see ANYONE else. The doctor said everything was... Read more

Over the past 6 months my mother and I have both been to the doctor over numerous occasions. And while there have been a few good doctors that have taken the right steps in improving our health and making us feel like an actual patience instead of a inconvenience the bad tend to out-weight the good. My mother was sick earlier this year with what appeared to be a UTI, normally she is able to... Read more
