1. They haven't paid me in years!Said they will get to me after they pay everybody else first, then they will figure out how much they owe me. This has been going on for years. 2.And they refused to let me design my own cover on a re-title publication as contractually agreed to and promised by them. I demanded my money back. I am considering suing them. Do not do any business with these crooks.... Read more

The editing and publishing part was OK. The cover design was good. My mistake was being sucked in by a smooth-talking sales director into a $9000 publicity program. It was worthless. I did most of the work in preparing the materials released to the media. I had 6 or 7 radio interviews in which a couple or three the of hosts were interested in the book and the others only in promoting themselves.... Read more

I published a book in 2011. I received $43 in royalties. I reported this to the IRS. Apparently, iUniverse does not keep records, because they subsequently sent me a threatening letter to send all information about what I had reported to IRS. This year I have received a 1099 from iUniverse claiming they sent me $114 and paid $18 in taxes. I have received no monies from iUniverse in 2012. ... Read more

Had a book self-published with iUniverse in 2009. They made a mistake printing the back cover. I had to pay half the cost for a re-do. Now, 4 years later, I had a suspicion. I ordered 2 copies of my own book from Amazon.com. It was delivered today, 2/7/13, with the back cover with the same "wrong" back cover. iUniverse said it was Amazon.comk's fault. I know the correction was made because I... Read more

My title was submitted for printing and eventual publication to iUniverse. I received a proof copy that had a serious error on the back cover caused by them. I had to pay the cost to correct it before they would resubmit to printer. The problem was corrected and made ready for sale in June, 2009. I even purchased several copies from them for re-sale. Today, I purchased my own books from... Read more

My first book has GREAT reviews but, through iuniverse, is print on demand only. They out-source too much of their personal contacts to the Philippines (where English is optional and it sounds like 1,000 people put into an empty warehouse. My royalty checks are small because THEY don't push my book. My 1st quarter check was around $78. My second qtr check, during which I had state TV and... Read more
