I was shopping and happened to pass by the double doors that leads to the back where only staff is aloud and I hear someone yelling and cursing. Harris teeter prides themselves off of customer service and I have never had a bad experience with the employees. However, many of the customers are rude. The other day I witnessed a customer yell at a cashier across the store who was trying to find her an item while she stayed at the check out line. What kind of society is this acceptable in? I used to love Harris Teeter until I had a bad customer service experience through management. I used to shop at the Kalorama Rd location in Washington, D.C. This location never has the products I need. The employees are unprofessional and not highly trained, very in-experienced. I left the Harris Teeter in Leland, North Carolina for the 3rd time this month without making my purchase. I am not the type of person to complain, but this is getting outrageous. Several months ago, after I'd scanned and paid for my items and started to leave the store, the cashier overseeing those registers accused me of not scanning the items in my shopping cart. Go in store around 1:30am with ball cap on and sweats with a big purse doesn't mean I'm a thief,soon as I walk in loc security scan all ailes and we have a code 13 . one store manager that should not be (rude) always looking at you like you're stealing something. customer service manager (rude). customer service representative (rude). and all this happens for only being a person of color or just your appearance. are complete racist. i am very done with harris teeter...that get me sick all the time they call me to help me at u scan and the person on that...
