My daughter was recently left stranded at the Port Authority Bus Terminal during her Thanksgiving travel home!

Her bus was one hour late and arrived 4 hours late to NYC causing her to miss her connection. After standing at the counter for 45 minutes, she was told they were adding another bus. She was told by a unprofessional and under experienced staff member that there was no room on the bus and that the earliest bus she could take would be 7:15 am the next morning! This is unacceptable!! If the day was a having travel day and delays could be anticipated a contingency plan should have been put into place. You don't just strand customers in the bus stations with no where to go!!

I had to drive all the way to NY in the pouring rain to pick her up and drive all the way back under treacherous conditions!! To top it off, were given a song and dance about not being able to get a refund. The buck was passed to corporate for a refund request, which we all know is not going to happen.

It seems that Greyhound has no problem taking customers money, but not being able to deliver the service they have paid for in a timely and professional manner.

A month earlier, I, myself, was subjected to a similar situation. When and accident in the city caused a major delay, passengers where left to their own devices. Having to stand in long lines, without being given information and being yelled at by workers for asking questions. When a bus finally came there was no one around to organize boarding. It was every man for himself.

Greyhound has a severe customer service deficiency! They have the rudest employees I have ever seen in my 55 years!! They need immediate training from the top down and the bottom up and how to respect and treat customer.

You should not be allowed to operate if you can not deliver their cargo to their destination in a timely and safe manner!!

I will NEVER board a Greyhound bus again!! Although, I am only one person, but there are many of us out there who have had the same experiences. When you multiply that dissatisfaction, your bottom line will eventually be effected. You currently have a monopoly because you've gobbled up the competition over the years, but it won't last forever unless you at attention to the customers, you know, the ones who pay your bills!

If you don't believe me, consider going on the show "Undercover Boss" so you can see for yourself.

I plan on boycotting you by telling my friends, family, neighbors, Facebook and Twitter friends NOT to do business with you either!

This is another wake up call!!

Monetary Loss: $200.

Location: New York, New York

yes, same happened to me, bus was over booked causing me to miss my connect home. Girlfriend had to drive 1 1/2 hrs to pick me up.

Bus stop I was dropped at wasnt even a bus stop, it was a truck stop in the middle of nowhere. when I complained to our local gh terminal I was asked out into the parking lot, called the f word and a punk

Right on!! I feel exactly the same way as you do about Greyhound, everything you wrote is true.

I encourage people whenever I can to not pay them and not use their 'services', they take your money and *** you over.

Eat *** Greyhound! I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this bus like the plague, and hoping so bad to see all those pondscum excuse for human beings working there get LAYED OFF until the shytty managment gets their act together.

VERY SIMILAR EXPERIENCE!!!!! Not to being stranded, very sorry your daughter and you had to go through that but being delayed and given NO information what so ever and being berated when asking questions!

Was planning on surprising my dad for his birthday this year.

I was going to take the bus, take lots of pictures, etc.

Booked a bus from Denver, CO to ABQ. Sooo the bus was supposed to leave at 10 that morning, right? Around 10:30 theres a woman going nuts at the ticket desk about how her husbands stranded on that bus and has a health condition.

Eventually everyone was kinda listening to whats going on. The guy at the ticket desk proceeded to argue with her for 7 minutes until he went to get whoever was above him. A random person in line asked where her husband was stuck at and she said he was coming from SLC. *salt lake city*.

Thats the bus we were waiting for. That bus let off here and got serviced and thats what bus we were waiting for.

So a guy in line behind us asked a random greyhounder worker walking past what was up with our gate, #10. The guy says with a smug look and laughs, "oh yea that broke down when it got to roosevlt youll be here for a while get cozy".

34 people being stranded is a JOKE? This is your JOB!!! I am an 18 year old college studetnt who has no employment experience outside of the mall and I would never, EVER disrespect a paying customer like that.

VERY VERY VERY long story short, I tried to get a refund but ended up getting on another bus that showed up before that one.

I used my round trip ticket, because I'm broke and didnt really have a choice, and on my ride back one of the food workers (the only person in the entire place that was actually nice to me) told me that they didnt have another bus for that gate until 7 the next morning.

Absolutely terrible. I, my family, friends, and probably a nice chunk of my facebook friends will not be riding the greyhound ever again
